While I wholeheartedly dislike Darkflow/Gaijin’s decision to shove Chinese squads and weapons into Soviet and Allied factions (creating insanities like Chinese troops defending Moscow and fighting in Ardennes), China deserves its proper WW2 representation.

With that in mind, I suggest a China vs Japan ‘Even fight’ gameplay event with predetremined squads.

We already have:

  • Chinese voicelines
  • Burma and Heilongjiang maps
  • Chinese uniforms

The squads could be built around these weapons and vehicles:

  • Rifle
    Hanyang Type 88 vs Arisaka Type 38

  • SMG
    MP18/28/Sichuan SMG vs Type 100 (early)/S1-100

  • SLR
    Liu rifle vs Type Hei

  • LMG
    ZB-26 vs Type 11/97

  • AT
    Boys AT Rifle vs Type 97

  • Tank
    T-26 / M3 Stuart vs Chi-Ha / Ha-go / Ke-Ni / Ka-Mi

  • Plane
    I-16 / I-153 / P-40 vs A5M4 / A6M2

I think you actually meant the SIG1920, which were and are systematically confused with Mp28 and Mp18 submachine guns. So far my research led me to believe that China did not use the MP18/28 at all.

The rest of the equipment seems to be in order. Though they could also be expanded.

except this which would be a major balance issue since Type 38 is a stupidely overpowered BR1 rifle while Type 88 is bad even at being mediocre.
I would suggest mixing in more rifles.
pre-war Kar98k (used by German trained divisions) and Vz.24 rifles for China.
Type 99 late and Type 99 early for Japan.

I didn’t want to go too much into BR3 and up, but indeed maybe SIG 1920 vs Type 100 (late) could work as well.

right, neither Japan or China has many options for BR1 or BR2 submachine guns.
I guess the best we can do is something like
Type 2a or SIG1920 vs SIG1920 (no bayonet) or SIG1930
Type 100 (early) vs Thompson 7.63
S1-100 vs S1-100 or Sten mk.II or Mauser C96 Mod.712 as a submachine gun instead of sidearm.

I would really love this event since my last special military operation in Manchuria I’m ready for one special military operation in China :smiley:

Yeah I played it few times also tried the Korean war also fun map.

No because fair fight events aren’t fair and force people to play with stuff they could not like.

Even when made by players… p40 payload compared to japan… it’s the SU2 vs B5N2 all over again.

However the infantry weapons you mentioned i would most likely agree with minus the japanese AT rifle… you can’t just not give them it but it isn’t fair.

Need to allow progression of these like you only need 7500 in the event but 20k in real matches because i will say these are probably nice for players who don’t have everything unlocked.

No, if the event structure forces me to play it, yes if it does not.

Sounds like a great concept but I hate that type of event structure …

It would be great if players with Chinese squads in setup could only get to the Manchuria and Burma maps.

Cool, and you missed out on a copy of a legacy premium… i didn’t like it and paid the entire way… just like for the 101st airborne… i do not wish for another situation

Although the gameplay could be unique with the weapons

I mean for the rewards. I am annoyed I have to play something that is not the game to get cool new stuf.
Everytime it becomes a grind after just a few days of playing.

So, if the rewards and event aren’t tied, so you can earn them in both normal enlisted and the event, then fine, but otherwise nah

Well yes, that’s how I feel too every time there is a moon, zombie, walker, potman with apache axe kind of BS which locks rewards behind a wall.

However, you can always get them in silver boxes later.

Personally I don’t care about rewards, I just want more WW2-focused experiences in the game.
