Idea is simple, more/better equipment → more time waiting for spawn.

I mean this time, visible when you select squad for spawm.
Currently each squad has the same time.
It would be nice if this time was by default 5s (for example) and adding weapons, soldier, equipment would add 0.x seconds to this time, so next squad spawn would be delayed.
Example:
-
[Normandy] Machinegun squad.
It has: 2x 3 star gunners with MG34, small ammo pouch, a frag; a 4 star engineer with G43, explosion pack, small backpack with tools; 2x 2 star troopers with Kar98, smokes and 2 medkits each.
When this squad dies, it adds 5s to the timer.
-
[Moscow] Assaulter squad.
It has: 4x 5 star assaulters with MkB43, 3 explosion packs each, AP mine each; a 5 star sniper with scoped MkB43, 3 explosion packs and AP mine; a 5 star machinegunner with MG34PT, large ammo bag, explo pack, AP mine; 2x 5 star troopers with Kar98 with AT gren launcher, 3 explo pack each and AP mine.
When this squad dies, it adds 20s to the timer.
Same goes for vehicles and their ammunition (ammunition customization soon tm).
As you can see, even my crazy ass squad adds only 15s to the time we have to wait now. It’s not much on it’s own, but when you cycle through 6 squads it scales up to 1.5min and that can be game changing.
Of course, numbers are only to ilustrate. They can and should be changed accordingly to acheave the ballance.
This adds more depth to the squad composition as it becomes more strategic instead of current more stars = equipp.
Also it gives a reason to add “low level” equipment to campaigns as they would have their use, unlike now.
What would affect the time?
- soldier count
- stars of soldiers
- class of soldiers
- repeating the class of soldiers (except rifleman)
- weapon stars
- equipment
- repeating squad types
Now, I can already hear you yell
“but I earned my XYZ and I want to use it!!!”
In general there are two ways of ballancing a game:
- you can have any ammount of “strong” weapons, but they will be mediocre
- your “strong” weapons are limited, but they are really strong
Personally I prefer the 2nd option. One of the reasons is that I’d like my guns to fucking shoot straight.
Also, are you really that boddered by additional 10-20s of waiting?

Right idea but weird solution.
I’ve seen spawn time as an effective tool in another game where spawn time scales with your group size (so if you have a lot of people you better be reviving eachother), but scaling it with equipment seems out of place here.
Why? It makes sense that destroying a KT / killing an elite fallschrimjager is more impactfull than destroying a PzIV / killing a volksturmer.

The effect isn’t that satisfying to whoever killed them, and it’s frustrating to sit out longer for your gear.
I prefer them being worth more tickets and points to kill.
The other game I mentioned, sea of thieves, has longer respawns make sense because when you’re fighting a full crew of 4, having one guy out of the fight makes a massive difference, and the respawn rework turned half hour teeth-pulling fights into 5 minute fights.
I agree on more points, but draining more tickets means you are punishing the team instead of the “perpetrator”.

Still seems too negative of a choice for me, and would create more gripes than it prevents.
I would rather see some form of hard equipment budgeting rather than allowing a player to be as obnoxious as possible before penalizing it.
At that point both parties are pissed off.

You are penalized for spam, not for owning.

No, you are penalized for use a number more big than 1 of that gun
Depends on your loadout.
You can have all of those weapons if you want without penalty. As long as you are willing to sacrifice your backpack slot.

I love use my gun withaut ammo
Srsly no
Now when the weapon is restricted via availability, it can get more stock ammo.

Add stupid mechanics for try to make work a bad system dont help, indeed make the situation even worse
Mate no, like the other
some one posted a similiar idea the answer was the same
No
And even dev agree on this
Then we will end up with “elite” weapons that have two mags and don’t shoot straight.
Devs are stupid AF in terms of ballancing the game.

That’s the 2nd reason why I posted this. I wanted to poke an anthill.
I know noone including devs will agree on this.
God I just wrote the budget suggestion thread but the forum is doing the infinite spin “saving” notification on it and I don’t wanna write that shit again

It saved a draft of the first sentence and nothing else.
