The main point is that even with this upgrade, Soviet shells still can’t penetrate Tigers and Panthers, and without it, they can still one-shot kill Panzer IVs easily.
So swapping to MD-8 shells won’t break balance at all. Right now, the Soviet 76mm gun has the worst penetration among all BR 3 vehicles. I think it’s only fair to give it at least a minor buff
I just realized Enlisted doesn’t label any shell types for tank armament at all, leaving players with no clue what ammunition they’re firing.
If we don’t bring this issue up, DF will probably never fix it.
I think we could add an ammunition swap feature for certain tanks without ruining balance.
The 87mm M53 shell has the lowest penetration at BR 3. Shermans with 100mm penetration can punch through the front armor of Tiger tanks at close range.
It still won’t help.

Well, at least we’ve voiced our thoughts. If they ever add shell switching later, our words will serve as a reminder. Just think, the T28’s main gun used to fire shrapnel rounds with only a handful of millimeters of penetration.
The current panzer 4s already are kinda in a kinda sad state but buffing the t-34 to bully the panzer 4s even harder would make them only even worse.
