Enlisted on Last Legs?

You are correct, if Enlisted is put on Steam it will make large boost on player population.
This also boosts income, really hope they do this.

Sharing my two cents as a player here:

  1. Most players can be found in Berlin and Normandy, or let’s say: they are the most popular campaigns.
  2. What makes any campaign a bit weird to play (specially for Newcomers that don’t know better) is the fact that a lot of campaigns are one sided. It simply ain’t fun to get run over playing axis Tunisia or Berlin soviets for the moment.
  3. Even during day time in central Europe, I see and find players over all campaigns. Some of them are just so new or casual, that you might think they are bots, referring to the score or something.

All in all: me personally I love grinding, love the carrot in front of my eyes but I do see a lot of people complaining about it.
Nonetheless could be worse. I remember HnG f.e. although I maxed out everything there too, it felt like a robbery after getting some captured weapons.

yes, enlisted is on last leg, have been for a decade or century, give or take a few decades, and always has been one legged with a massive third leg in the middle. :skull:

Agree. There’s many things that are still missing. Including new content, gear, weapons, vehicles, mechanics, maps…

Note that they are only adding new content through events… it’s not possible to add new stuff for everyone to unlock in campaigns, they are already done for, it’s already closed. So the merge hopefully will open the doors and new stuff will be added (for everyone up to the grind).

As for the OP yeah lack of interest is noticeable, there are many broken campaigns, Tunisia is known for that, and now… according to my experience, Pacific. Bots, bots and more bots.

For me, yes, the best days gone. I’m having a lot less or often no fun when playing a couple matches.
I know some of the following felt or was indeed broken, such as artillery spam, HE splash radius, deadly airstrikes, laserbeam AI etc - the feeling was different, I found it more immersive. Fun is subject to everyone’s own taste, so again, it is personal pref.

Tbh the last nail for me was when they started removing content. Gold order weapons. store packs etc. This is just not right and makes no sense from business pov.

Idk, I still keep playing cause at it’s core it is a good concept and I find a couple hours of entertainment sometimes, but the fact that a lot of Day 1 OBT issues and complaints are still not resolved just makes me think the game is sort of mismanaged and purely data based.

Regarding new players, the current model is just awful. All my gaming buddies said a big no to the game because how bad their new player exp was - maybe they’ll reconsider after merge. It basically repeats when someone starts a new campaign/side.

Even the 500+ gaming community has died I was a founder of long ago before Berlin entered OBT…

Lack of marketing doesn’t help either.

The Steam release… - oh boy can you all think of how many things are there to complain about ? The negative reviews would sink it faster than BF2042.

The upcoming update will make or break it for many current players too, for sure - and based on what we know, things aren’t looking much better.

Completely false and uneducated statement.

Except they delete weapons, soldiers and vehicle skins from the store and removed packs.

That is not the point.
Artificially increasing rarity via discontinuation is pretty common business practice. Especially in f2p games.

Most of those items will return at some point. And they will sell much better because of the artificially created hype. It’s literally nothing new. WT is doing this for years. And it’s definitely nothing original.

Deletion is not really discontinuation.

Maybe in WT.

Not really. Never ever reappeared one of the old gold stuff nor did any of the old early-access bundles of the old CBT or Alpha. Even the MG30 doesnt count because it is a different squad, not the same form the old Moscow MG bundle.

Dude you need to know
It’s been over a year since the developers announced they were merging campaigns
There have been few major updates for more than a year, new maps, new weapons, and new campaigns. In 2022, they updated the Battle of Stalingrad and the Battle of the Pacific.
What do we get in 2023? Nothing at all
If an online game does not have major updates for a year, not only this game, but any game will face a large loss of personnel.

Not like they release a lot of maps anyway.

I think most people already begged them for no new campaigns anyways and rather fix the game.
And almost all new campaigns excluding Pacific and maybe Berlin turned into one-sided ghost towns quite quickly.

SG quickly turned into ghost town only really played by whales and SG larpers
Pacific has better numbers and I would say out of all new campaigns since OBT, its the sole new campaign which isnt a ghost town. And Pacific probably because of Japan/ not another MP40 grind
(which might be a reason why Japan has slightly more and better players).

The numbers were already shit in Fall/ Winter 2022. I highly doubt the idea with the merge came up like two days after new year.
