Romans would lack milling machines, maybe would figure out deep stamping but most importantly they would lack the knowledge in chemistry and alloys (especially alu).
Or for example a coil spring. A simple thing unless you have to make one with a hammer and anvil.

The reason why the Romans invented a rudimentary Steam engine and did nothing with it, was because they had so much free slave labour, that they had no reason to put people out of their jobs and industrialize. So with an MG they’d probably go crazy with it, until it breaks shortly after and then just go back to how things were.

Keo, the new system is great, it was well needed, but since historical accuracy will remain in custom battles, Enlisted is still my favourite game.
You did the right thing, Enlisted needed a change to the progression system and since you changed it, my close friends might actually play Enlisted now.
