Recent times, newly added weapons are interesting, but not that exciting anymore. But i really enjoy playing on the new Wald or Kahif Cave village map - there i realized. Enlisted needs new maps!
Any new map will interest players more than new weapons with the same handeling type.
i think that custom content should be prioritize so we can make maps ourselves.
the unofficial sdks are very good from bazsi,
but with the heavy limitations ( such as a simple friking brush for different ground texture that requires custom content ) and the inability to import custom assets ( for buildings,
The devs want to keep players active. Adding new weapons for events is the best way for that since FOMO will keep them playing. We can see that with the current events like market garden and italy vs uk. They place highly sought after items such as paratrooper squad and lewis gun into the very end of the event to motivate people to play the game for the next 20 days. This doesnt even take that much effort to do since they only have to model couple guns. New maps require much more time and effort and it seems like the enlisted map devs are busy with active matter anyway
We still lack about half the things needed for a legitimate Commonwealth tech tree, Italy has a lot of growing to do too, and that’s all without adding new subfactions such as Thailand or Hungary.
Weapons and vehicles are sorely needed for the current subfactions.
if gaijin had some sense they would give away serious prizes for high quality custom maps and add them to the rotation, increasing the amount of good, new maps by a lot.
for that to work though 2 conditions must be realized that sadly are not:
someone at gaijin needs to understand what makes maps good & make high quality decisions on which map to have in rotation, which not and how to improve maps
this person needs to give modders input into how to finalize custom made maps, as most of them look low quality and usually need 50% more polishing
you see the problem? the first bottle neck factor is not fixed, the second one even less so.
its the same problem as always in here.
modders have to face tons of technical issues, or, if they dare think outside the box, the server will not be able to handle it in some instances.
so they have to resort to try to optimize.
but you run into the problem of servers being shite,
then you run into the problem of random templates working in local, but not in multiplayer.
then you run into the issue of RI limit and mods sieze.
then you run into the problem of players having to wait for 5 to 10 minutes to enter custom made maps.
all at the expenses of your time because there are next to 0 guides, or hotfixes / improvements requested.
( such as being able to at least try the profiles offline instead of having to go through the upload process each single time even for a single change Online )
you ask something, you get ignored unless you know someone specific from the helper team and try your lock to get some answer there.
not to mention, the random changes that no one tells you about, and fucks up your missions.
i’m starting to come to the conclusion and realization that enlisted CANNOT grow.
too busy arguing about minor things when we can’t progressively make custom content for years to come and most things get simply ignored or overlooked…
But there are no subfactions …There are skins for America and Germany, these are not subfactions.
I think adding a subtree would be nice, but we might need some extra maps to justify it, like new Italy maps or easternfront locations on which the Italians fought.
Also adding Thai and Hungary is not a very good idea. Thai could only fight in Burma and Hungary only against Soviets. I think the game has to prioritise other things first.
This sums up perfectly the modding experience of enlisted. They could have made this game so much better if they had improved AI and supported modders but instead they gave us dissapointing events, more premium squads and content nobody asked for
It’s not like the Soviets only face the Germans. But, yeah, there’s a ton of stuff to be fixed before worrying about sub-factions, though on paper, they sound nice, I doubt the current team could pull it off gracefully.
Definitely need new maps, tons of theaters Enlisted hasn’t touched on. At best we’re only getting one new map this year and I doubt it’ll blow anyone out of the water, but we shall see.

they want it to be closer to battlefield than cod but in another room from hell let loose.
subfactions are important so long as they dont steal gear from the main faction
you can larp as england but dont take my bren because it breaks you immersion if you dont want me to ‘steal’ ‘youre’ garand
the game lacks the needed workers so it should lean more on player created content like roblox or fortnight.
fomo isnt fun it should be more like time gated that is you have a chance 3 0r 4 time a year to earn more event guns
rotating guns and events would fill out the year and create low level fomo. one the impatient who not know when it will be back …
sorry but just because you want to play germany at brx on map x on rotate does not mean everyone else should suffer.
pc players either console player suck or aim assist is unfair its not both. and i see far mor pc players at range framing points refusing to stand on and attack or defend the point than console players
dont ask for the ability to turn off cross-play ask for a separate game. like the world of series with world of tanks and world of warship.
if you want to be separate get you’re own enlisted. yeah enlisted sucks but its all the enlisted we have. fight on but dont act like there are alternative
