First of, I don’t believe it will ever happen but I’m a dreamer and I have some time to waste so lets go.
Those who have played H&G know the concept of a war map.
Players can deploy battalions and move them to capture regions. Battles are fought by players with equipment restrictions based on battalions that take part in it.
But unlike in H&G we can make said restrictions soft.
So each squad would cost deployment points that regenerate passively over time. Battalions would decrease the cost of deployment of certain units (for example heavy tank battalion makes heavy tanks cost 10% less points to deploy).
So every weapon can be used in every battle.
We can also add some nation, region, unit moddifiers. For example:
- russian medium tank battalions cost less to deploy
- german elite infantry battalion gives 20% deployment reduction instead of 10%
- marines battalion gives 20% deployment reduction instead of 10% when storming a beach or a river
- a region is swampy, 10% increased cost of spawning a tank
- a region is harased by partisians, all battalions have reduced effects for 7 days
Events such as mentioned partisians can be made into PvE missions that indirectly affect the war effort by decreasing duration of negative and increasing duration of positive effects.
The economy/logistics layer could be used to further ballance the game (2 med tanks vs 1 heavy one etc.).
Such war map can depict only a specyfic operation (for example barbarossa) or the whole war. Both ways have advantages and disadvantages.
This gamemode would be separated from the current MM as imo it shouldn’t have equipment ballancing as it’s provided by the economy layer of the mode.
Of course the idea is rough and needs more thought.
Imo such “grand war” mode with some degree of ecconomy/logistics simulation would make for a very fun and unique experience.

Ok but whe need wait developers decide to full complete at least 1 of the world map, Moscow is the only one who can field something but it have still to less and dispersed location

World maps are a separate case. They affect the fps layer that is not the main point of the post.
kinda unrelated, but somewhat reminded me of foxhole
man if i love trucking in that game.
would be somewhat even better in enlisted.
but eh… the biggest problem of enlisted imo, is that it doesn’t aim high.
because right now, feels a generic ww2.
… and plays like one.
not necessarely a bad thing since alot of people still play it and defend it like it’s the best thing in the world.
though, i dont think it really helps in the long run.
nevertheless, mods somewhat helps to explore those potential… but yeah. require players input which isn’t always polished nor allow them too much due to limitations.
one can only dream i suppose my friend.

But withaut them you cant make the gamemode at least if you use HnG or planetside 2 as example
And this for sure need a complete world map
This one very much.
Enlisred has some unique features but it doesn’t use it’s full potential.

Well, the war map doesn’t have to use actual fps maps. A simple graphical representation would be good enough.
I’d even say making it look like an actual map with accurate markings of units, positions etc would be cool.

This is a wtfk point, if you read devblog, helper post ecc… they talk about another game what they talk is enlisted of (terra 347) because whatever they do or add, enlisted is always the same, in the end there no major gameplay change only small adjustment and as you say is not a bad or good thing in the end
But
I want see the game they keep promoting and for this i keep support the game and i think is the same for everyone of us

They can simply bring rts mode into the game so we can control our ai soliders instead dont even know where have they died.
I love to see imaginations like this.
btw, my question is why do Soviet medium tank battalions cost less? Enlisted’s T-34s have superior performance, So Why are you able to provide high performance tanks at a low cost? Is it the great industrial strength of the Soviet Union?
I lack military knowledge, so forgive me if I am asking stupid questions.
I can answer
Leaving aside performance of the t34 in the game, in irl, t34 was an armored tractor with a big cannon on it, the design was simple and cheap compared to a german tank

Thank you for your answer. If it was a cheap, simple design that outperformed the German tanks, then that means the T-34 design was a master piece. I am liking that tank more and more.
I will go to the toy store tomorrow and buy the plastic model.
Calm down, t34 have the worst death ratio of the war 3:1 for the german, soviet only spammed so many t34 that in the end german get overwhelmed
Tank objectives is win the war, t34 do exactly this it was so cheap that dont mind if soviet losed 50 of them they can simply rebuild them

Im not sure about it.
Talking about HnG, RTS was a abomination which suffered from population imbalance, lack of content and coordination and constant number changes. Ultimately, the RTS was unfun, unbalanced (beyond “its war duh”) and pain in the ass to grind (ever grinded a recon plane AT?). But the FPS and RTS were in theory able to work with.
Thats the issue with Enlisted. The game does not have a ressource system to begin with beyond tickets for attackers. This alone would cause a lot of trouble to implent, especially since we dont know yet how really the MM and BR ratings will work for the current meta. We also dont have a new class for inf mobility yet beyond bikes ans while I simp for ErikaAPC-Sama, I honestly gave up with big maps ans believe, they wont come until fixed bipods.
Also, DF so far failed with a proper order system so I dont have high hopes for a RTS econlmy made by them and ultimately the RTS relies on a balanced economy.
Not to mention that the majority of players is alread struggeling with the current ez pew pew system.
Would be cool but damn I dont really know how to make this system work without overhauling the game… again.

Issue is that is also fails to hit in that regards.
Im wondered about you saying
Since less and less people actually defend the game and the devs. Heck, even average whales are getting salty and I havnt seen Adam for a while now. So many people got meltdowns and even not because of the rework announcements.
And also not sure about the player counts since we still dont get confirmed intel about them and many campaigns being one-sided ghost towns unless some event occurs, and devs keep trying to make bot players look like real players.
Its really weird that they want to release the game in this year because the list of issues is long and I doubt the new tech tree order will also go smoothly. If they fail with release, the game will really just turn into a second HnG journey but with more whales.
To add to what gastano said, I wanted to acheave effect of: kill a t-34 and 3 more will take it’s place.
My goal is to acheave authentic feeling by arcade means.

As I’ve said, I don’t believe it either.
But dreams and hopes is why I didn’t quit this game yet. Although I don’t have high hopes for the future. The best I hope for is to not make the game worse.

Realy? Uh,okay…
Forgive my question which is off topic and at too low a knowledge level.
When the T-34 first appeared, wikipedia says that it outperformed the German No. 4 tank in performance. It also says that the existence of the T-34 motivated Germany to design the Panther and Tiger.
Still, it is surprising that the Germans were ahead in kill rate. What could have made them do so?
Mostly tactics.
Also many flaws of T-34 like being basically blind and lack of communication.
