Engineers

I feel engineers are criminally under used and to make more people use them and to also make the game a bit more realistic they should make it where only the engineers can deconstruct hedgehogs and at guns and AA gun because I doubt that everyone is carrying around the tools to deconstruct these fortifications.

Well, there aren’t really any tools to remove hedgehogs and guns in the field. In reality you would either push them away or blow them up.
Also, why would you want to deconstruct guns? The violent method is far more practical. As far as deconstructing hedgehogs, those are unfortunately rarely used anyway, so that wouldn’t make engineers more popular.
The problem with engineers isn’t their usefulness. They are super useful. The problem is, that most players either don’t realize this or don’t care.

The best way to change this IMHO, would be with a tutorial section for engineers and better XP rewards.

Also problem is that there is simply not enough time to set up proper fortifications. In conquest it’s nearly impossible to build anything more than a sandbag and in invasion your best option is to build on the next point.

That is true and sandbags are near useless anyway. But I consider the engineer’s main purpose to be rally points, followed by guns and ammo boxes. Since you only build one each, it doesn’t take long.

NO, main use of engineers - to build hedgehogs, or sandbags, so you climb to inaccessible areas lol And then camp like a noob from there ))

Yall are sleeping on hedgehogs and sandbags I swear. I use almost every building type every game

blocking entry points either for enemy or retarded team mates blocking you.

The retarded team mates to which you referred are most like just trying to help protect the next point ans maybe instead of destroying other peoples constructions you should just go around.

Imagine following scenario:
Team mate blocks the only entry point for a far better position for your tank.
Instead I have to sit on a position with Tank with terrible visibility because some people like you prefer to be egoists and flame the team when its about to lose like “shit team, i am out”.

Better XP rewards. Right now it’s not worth it to build helpful fortifications and spawn points for players compared to just running and gunning. Other than providing an ammo crate for mortar, sniper and bomber squads and point defense.

Overall there needs to be FAR more points awarded for assistance. It is vital on the battlefield, and most players don’t seem to bother setting targets as the points are pathetic compared to other XP sources.

As others already mentioned, xp boost will help gratly, lso time for setting up fortifications would actually make people start building them, because they have nothing better to do anyway. There may be even awards , if you sandbags are stoping enemy bullets, like 5 xp for every bullet. same with hedgehogs, you get exp if enemy tank touches it or something.

Why do you need more ? 15exp for each resp is fine and balanced, might be devs should add exp for other buildings, but rally points are balanced RN

Unlike the gentlemen above, I have a different opinion on this matter.

Most Engineer buildings are clear examples of “non-artifical deferred gain.” This means that their very value is determined only after a while, and can be valuable in a match format by 10%, maybe by 50%, and maybe by all 200%. This is not decided by the developers, it is the real meta that decides.

You mistakenly think that the developers did not even think about this issue and left the engineer underestimated, but if you look at it from the point of view of class balance, we will see that with the addition of many XP modifiers, the engineer will become an OP-grind class, and will definitely turn from a non-obvious support to the main class for any player.

At the moment, the engineer makes a very significant contribution to the victory, and the reward for it(+ 50%) provides the value of the game for this class. With the recent AI update, you can make entire farms to kill bots, restricting their paths with barbed wire or hedgehogs, as they instantly calculate a different path.

Nevertheless, I absolutely agree that Enlisted needs correct training on the mechanics of the game, preferably in a humorous form, like parodies of WW2 educational war films.

So what if it will be best class to collect exp? If eng is placing obstacles, rally points and crates, then let him top the board. Currently you can get more exp in single bombing run than with whole match of creating sandbags.

Engineer construction time should be lower when he rank up meaning 1 start engineer takes build rally point like 10 second and 5 star engineer like 6 second.

Some engineer items like MG nest is kinda stupid. It takes long time to build and single rifle shot can destroy that MG.

That is because any other option made MG too OP. Before this was implemented, MG nests were far too powerful. This gives enemy small (yet fair) chance to fight back. However, MG nests are still pretty useful. Engineer building options being divided between engineer I and II is main reason why you don´t see them as much anymore (in comparison to CBT at least).

Plus that the new players dont really know the true power about the engineer and prefer sniper and radio.
At least thats my assumption.

New players are probably not even aware that they are getting rewards for usage of their fortifications, or they prefer action over support. (Partially understandable, because playing support classes is not going to give you any solid exp on the end if you compare it to run and gun. Also, lets face it… if you are leveling up your squads, keeping engineer squad for all building options is waste of space)
