There is already a perfectly reasonable mechanic for repairing tanks, this one adds little, if anything, the idea that it should be added because it is something like a BF mechanic is what is redundant - the argument that it should be in this game because it is in BF.
The argument is that the engineers should have support mechanisms, because in my opinion they should be oriented towards a gameplay more focused on support, it would give the game an extra cooperation between players.
Iām not saying it because I want the new Battlefiel VI: Enlisted, I say it to give ideas on how to approach this type of squad, which is obviously not focused on assaulting a point in a vanguard way.
Such as using vehicles, requesting artillery support, classes of soldiers, creating spawnpoints, etc ā¦
Mechanics of both other fps and the bf itself, this does not take away the essence of the game since this is largely given by the management of your squad.
Well many of us do not. You say you do not want BF: Enlisted - and yet that is exactly what you are asking for, and in so many words - you specifically used BF as a justuificatino ofr this.
No thanks - IMO it is fine, as I said - the mechanism adds nothing much, if anything.
The argument and the mechanism are both redundant.
If the only purpose of a squad is to run to a point, why not just make an open squad where each one equips the soldiers of the type they want and thatās it?
According to your logic, if in enlisted there cannot be cooperation and support between players, the types of squads are redundant.
Why engineers should have any higher change to succeed repairing tank? Regular engineers are not trained to fix tanks or vehicles. Thats just another typical video game/movie stereotype
At example knowing how to build bridge wont help at fixing engine
Also for gameplay reason we dont need engineers wasting their time (or encourage them) to repair some camper tank. Spawn points are scarse enough especially at axis side
How does it help you to know how to make a bridge to create an AT and an AA with a hammer?
Shouldnāt a logistics company be tasked with supplying the ammunition on the battlefield?
Do not apply that logic, also do not assume that all tank players are going to camp or that all engineer battalions are going to be behind a tank for the entire game or that tank cannot be oneshoted.
You cannot say that helping the team is a waste of time for the engineer, it is not supposed to be a vanguard troop and in a real scenario it would be pure support, also you cannot decide for each player, each one will play with their battalion As they wish, some will fight with the AA, others will try to fortify some point, others will simply run towards a point without thinking about it.
Each one will play it as they please, and there should be options for those who want to play support.
Technically, you cannot extinguish an engine fire without an extinguisher, you cannot repair a burned out engine with a few simple tools, and it cannot be done in the middle of a battle.
The game is not a simulator and does not pretend to be.

I agree with this, but also, in addition to this, they could add a mechanic when you are repairing the tank, the engineers can help you repair it by reducing the repair time, just like the ATs can build AT and the engineers can help them to shorten the construction time.
Likewise, engineers can build AT but slower, and can repair the tank but slower or just enough to keep running.
