Engineers and unique buildables problem

Engineers shouldn’t have access to all the buildables they have access to. They should be unique for having access to the AA gun and that is it really. Why can they have a machine gun nest (I know it is not HMG but LMG, though the point stands) and the AT gun?? It makes other squads just feel less worth. Some versions have the ampulomet as well, altough they lose access to the LMG nest. In my opinion squads should be able to have unique buildables but then they should be the only ones with that buildable since the word “unique”.

Engineer squad: AA gun
AT squad: AT gun
MG squad: HMG nest
Flametrooper squad: Ampulomet
Mortar squad: Something for them should exist to make it more viable

This way the AT squad is not just a worse engineer squad and actually has some value. Right now it is mostly ignored because you can just play engineers and build the AT gun AND and LMG nest AND and AA gun (2 actually) all while being able to have an AT soldier in the squad and a bunch of engineers to build all of this super fast.
There could be a version of the engineer squad that can build an LMG nest but then it cannot build the AA gun, I am just not sure why the LMG buildable even exists, why was it even added? Like engineers could not have already built enough stuff? I guess it could stay if the AT gun gets removed for them but I am not sure still. Potentially the MG1 squad is the one to have an LMG nest and the 2 and 3 squads the HMG nest, if that is even neccessary? Trying to find a use for it in the game feels weird since there really was no reason to even add it in my opinion.
The new premium mortar squad has some sort of grenade launcher and I believe the tech tree squad deserve one too to make it more attractive/flexible since it might add more utility on the offense hopefully. Depends on what exactly would get implemented.

I think AT squad should get higher caliber gun at BR4-5 but Engineer squad should still be able to build 75mm cannons and have option to downgrade to build shorter AT guns (more like Howitzers) with higher tnt filler to use it against infantry.

Tommy’s already covered this problem in the big action mod but it’s not like anyone’s even heard of it and he’s just a small creator who makes things.

He also made cool features like being able to build transport vehicles for your squad. Ofc better AT guns and howitzers were also included with friendly fire. There are close to zero chance we would receive any of those in Enlisted, and even if they add something it’ll be completely at random disorganized and just for one or two nations while rest will get neglected for x months if not years.

Why would they have access to an AT gun at all? They are the only ones that can build the AA gun and that is their unique buildable, ignoring the whole LMG nest thing. The anti tank gun should be a unique buildable for the anti tank squad.

If they can build AA gun why wouldn’t they be able to build most basic AT gun? Besides AT gunners have Panzerfausts/Ofenrohrs so entire thing instantly loses it’s appeal if you think about it.

At gunner’s engy building at gun would only make sense in two situations: Where tank is too close or when your AT gunners are dead.

Kind of agree here, AT squad is grind once & forget forever.

While the engineer can build pretty much everything.

And why would you need or want to build AT gun when you can destroy every tank just by pressing and lmb?

Only two rare situations that i specified above may change that but you may as well come closer or spawn in a tank/plane.

Its quite alot easier to hit tanks to other side of map with AT gun than with hand held weapons.

For what we need AT guns at all then ? Theres always tank / plane / go close to spawn option.

100% DISAGREE!!! You’re obviously part of the faction of players who want to nerf everything into the ground. Ever find yourself in a game where nobody is building spawn points or ammunition boxes? Probably because nobody is playing engineer. Did you ever stop to think that the buildables that engineers have access to is a way to encourage people to play engineer—which the game needs badly. Too many people are only interested in shooting their pew pew guns and constantly worrying about their k/d.

So sorry, I’m not on board with your nerf idea. But, I’m sure you’ll have another one tomorrow. The forum is full of nonsense suggestions to keep Nerfing the game, which is probably one reason a lot of people just quit.

ps Your title makes no sense. There is no “buildables problem”—you’re simply trying to generate one.
