What you have a lot of the time are new players that don’t have engineers. Listen to the sounds of a million bolt action rifles. Or players who aren’t familiar with the mechanics. And sometimes players like me who get sick and tired of setting rallies everywhere I go b/c it seems as if I am the only one who wants to win. Only to watch my team spawn on it and pretend its their defensible position, allowing the enemy to pin them there and negating its use. They are supremely important to an effective assault when used properly. At least one each side, slightly offset to allow for a direct assault or to flank. Seems simple. But being fair most players simply just don’t know. The glories of youth. I’m old and this is a video game after all. A super fun one tbh. Thanks again for the free fun Gaijin.
I understand thet feeling, and i say it would be nice if they made some obligatory tutorial of all the mechanics for new players.
I’ve thought of that as well. Communication seems to be an issue. Often when I felt like I needed help understanding there was no way to communicate that with my team. Spawn in and I certainly don’t want to stand there bullets whizzing by and type out the question. I can count on one hand the number of times an in game question was asked and answered. And from my crappy memory its always about setting enemy coordinates. Using “V” on the keyboard. The forum can help when it’s used for that but as this is “in development” most posts are regarding game issues and not focused toward new player development.
It reminds me of the frustration that original poster has and my own frustration. I’m very competitive by nature. Now knowing how things work for the most part and “losing” because I see my team making rookie mistakes definitely makes me want to hulk smash. Particularly in the moment. A nice tutorial or a dedicated area for new players or even some in game communication goes a long way to help new players get accustomed to the game they downloaded for free. Or even beyond just squads, having clans goes a long way. And establishing a nice new and educated player base might generate some long term revenue.
There needs to bee more tutorials but so far the most pressing ones IMHO are engineers and taking out tanks with TNT.
