Nice, but rather light on rewards.

no it would terrible. Little to no fighting took place inside Leningrad and due to its terrain it would be a Moscow 2.0
Leningrad would only be interesting if it was alt-history and was inside the city.

This one is not the only event already planned.

Especially when it is “one of the most significant moments of the Second World War”

Then this still can’t explain why you made the rewards for this important festival so perfunctory. Just a portrait and a pistol. I thought it was for a KV-1E. If this is just a part of many plans, I don’t want to see a boring activity like 10 pistols or 10 small toys later. You’d better have something big that we can look forward to.

It’s really ironic that the most crucial moment of World War II is given the smallest reward in the game.

Well, I’d like to too, but considering the studio’s capabilities, that would require Lenin to come back to life.

I mean… Yes…

But, it’s a good excuse to add a Finnish subfaction…

Low priority, I’d like Italy to be more complete first. I’d also rather see Hungary be added before Finland, too, IMHO.

Nice. A very memorable date.

However, while the Devs are still stingy about default map-linked paintjobs (this should definitely happen), this event is a missed opportunity to add white-washed KV-1 skin:

Leningradets

Osoaviakhimovets

For Leningrad!
From women of Leningrad to the front.

Or even the one from the artwork with a slogan:

We shall defend the achievements of October!

Besides, Leningrad’s Kirov Plant was the main production base for KV-1 tanks.

KV-1 tanks were produced and maintained there even during the siege.

Kirov Plant was the new government name for Putilov plant (which made AFVs even in WW1, such as the famous Putilov-Garford artillery truck).

I wouldn’t call it a terrible idea.

Especially if we take into consideration the more broad area of Leningrad Oblast, Karelian Isthmus and the nearing Baltic areas.

The “Heersgruppe Nord” campaign, if you will.

Fighting happened there from 1941 to 1944, all BRs would work, new assets and scenery can be made to represent Narva, Tartu, Peterhoff, Vyborg, etc.

Wow, that’s so cool! Oh, this skin is just so beautiful. It would have been great if they had said that the major update would be about the Siege of Leningrad. After all, for their own country’s maps, they do a decent job of combining history and gameplay. I even wanted to see the KV in 1942.

I mean, cool and all, but a portrait and a pistol?

Really? One of the most Important bits of history?

Also, a missed opportunity to give away a
“87-²” turret number decal for 872 days of the city’s survival in this style:

Tanks in Enlisted suffer from a major lack of faction insignia and turret numbers, all looking bare bones.

Just a suggestion from November 2021:

Same thing as when Ovechkin the hockey player caused an event in Enlisted and we could’ve gotten a turret number decal, but alas this is too much to ask:

Finland didnt do much in the siege…
I rather have Finland added with Mannerheim Line or Battle of Tali–Ihantala
