I think that in a match, assist points can be used to encourage players to mark enemy infantry positions. When other players eliminate an enemy infantry unit within a 15-meter radius of the point marked by that player, the player receives five assist points. And award the title of Best Scout to the player who marks enemies and earns the highest assist score @Lord_Sith
- Yes,I agree
- No, I disagree

This has been suggested before and the reply was that it may cause players to mass-mark random places, looking for a few free points, making marking infantry useless.

Yes that what i wish that the Players has to point the Tank or APC, etc. Because when i play with Airplane or Tank i wanna support the Team but NOBODY even thinks about the Marking i play Crossplay off as Console Player and that Issue makes me go very VERY Mad.
Somewhat easy fix in that case. When you mark tanks/vehicles/etc they have a unique icon, not just the normal default red marker. Well… Do the same thing.
Assist points only apply if you directly mark an enemy, which gives a unique player icon/marker. Otherwise it’s the same default marker that you can persue or ignore as a player just like normal.
Only shows up with that unique marker when you are looking straight at an enemy and mark them, just like tanks. Doesn’t need to follow them, though, and can be closer to the default mark and being a “hey, attack here”
This way the current mechanic of marking works literally the same, except with the addition of a new mark that gets placed when directly marking an individual soldier.
Player kills someone within ~10m of that marker, you get an assist.
