I think there are deeper issue at play that cause players to desert in the first place. There will always be a faction with more players, and the opposing faction will always have more deserters as a result. I believe fixing that issue should be prioritized and I don’t see that being achieved from some boosters at the start of the day. Something that I do thing would help reduce desertion would be implementing the XP (10-20%) boost when selecting the “Join any faction” button. By doing this you are spreading more players out through the factions, therefore making more even matched games, while also rewarding players.
Then you have to start from scratch by dividing the room.
Have you ever seen a large number of players equipped with hand-pulled rifles and level 1 vehicles appear at levels 3 and 5?
That’s one of the biggest reasons
So can we ensure that players who don’t hold many mid- to high-level weapons will not enter higher-level rooms?
They are one of the biggest causes of imbalance
With 1 or 2 mid-to-high-level equipment, enter the superior room and get beaten.
Until they lose, they protest that the enemy is too strong
Compared with a very small number of experts using a few high-level weapons to massacre low-level players
The problem mentioned above is more serious and happens all the time
But what do people that always leave the game and make it worse for everyone else to offer that would benefit the community at large?
Those games that they do stick around are stomps which would already have the better players on their side? For the side that is losing initialy those players just make make it worse and ensure that those teams dont can recover and cause the stomp to happen in the first place.
While it might sound brutal but I do believe that rampant desertion is causing most of the imbalances (percieved or real) by amplifying every small team imbalance into an extreme one.
Since the testing of the new matchmaking (where the matchmaking system tries separating BRs by 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5) I have seen 2 matches out of about 30 where my team was heavily under geared for the match, which is an astronomical improvement to how things were previously. Id say that issue is resolved assuming they decide to go through with the new system.
Well 0.7 reward cut is already pissing players because they need to do their life work. What pissed me the most is that the anti cheat automatically kicks you if you are like afk for 30 seconds. Like even going to take a quick piss and come back just to see it kicked me and didn’t even give me rewards when I was like 5k xp
if 5-10% of players chose play any you would get equilibrium of players in both factions. maybe not by skill, but at least by number of human players on both sides.
such low numbers would not help. if you win you get 50% xp bonus, so for player who wants xp/silver it is better to actually desert and find a match where he can win. minimum for join any needs to be 50% bonus xp and you need to implement penalty where you wont get bonus xp for 2 join any if you desert match.
