This everyone can destroy everything is a bit too broad and renders engineers useless outside of placing a rally.
It would be much more beneficial to limit who can destroy what in what way:
Sandbags - Destructable by everyone by hand (teardown) or explosives.
Wire - Destructable by engineers (teardown).
Hedgehog - Destructable by engineers (teardown).
AA - Destructable by engineers (teardown) or explosives.
AT - Destructable by engineers (teardown) or explosives.
Rally - Destructable by everyone by hand (teardown) or explosives or bullets.
Ammo - Destructable by everyone by hand (teardown) or explosives or bullets.
It might not fit in the current state of hectic meatgrinder gameplay, but it would make much more sense for a team to focus on bringing enginners to a route they want unblocked instead of obstacles being a 5 second nuisance.
No, easily abused to essentially exploit the game and make entire areas be impossible to access.
See the point above.
nope,
if there is something that everyone would like to avoid for gameplay reasons mostly, it’s already make the enginner class more powerfull than what it already is.
currently, you can’t never “go wrong” with enginners.
and now for even being able to do something such as destroy emplacement and stuff, i even have to replace whatever class for enginners.
it’s a no from me.
: D I imagine the situation in the real war. The soldier runs to the piece of barbed wire, and begins to shout “Engineer, Engineer!
In reality, you will use your tools, shovel, weapon, and whatever around you and with the help of fellow soldiers to help you pass such barriers. The game simply allows the player to do it, in the remarks of the game logic, with the same implication.
Also imo, all of this would only stop the overall flow and immersion of the game.

Engineers would be good for having faster teardown speed, but they shouldn’t be the only ones able to clear certain obstacles.

Ahh, I remember the days of normandy beach landings where bangalores were used to vault over the barbed wire while others were dismantling the hedgehogs with shovels. Good days.
Immersion is quite questionable in this almost quake-paced game.
What’s really frustrating is trying to order your squad to take cover near sandbags and they start destroying them…
