How the hell is getting a pistol in this game so hard to get unlike a rifle through random deliveries? Considering pistols don’t offer much benefits compared to a rifle or an smg like pistols should’ve cost like 1 or 2 or maybe 3 bronze weapon cards depending on the pistol like a TT would be like 2-3 while Nagant 1 bronze weapon card.

Just swap them off your pilots and tankers
I just move the default pistols that come with pilots and tankers to my pistol slots on soldiers. Even then, I don’t use them unless I have a specific battle task that calls for them.
I did that but the Nagant is absolutely garbage
So what’s the issue exactly? You OP’d saying you can’t get them but now you’re saying you know how to get them but you don’t like them.
Being able to get a better pistol better than the Nagant which is either the TK or even better a TT.
Except pistols typically weren’t standard issue to frontline soldiers outside of officers. They should be difficult to get
Not for the US they gave soldiers m1911s. Alvin York showed this a good move when he killed 6 germans after his rifle ran dry.
They were very rare for the US and still are. Only officers , NCOs or job specific (machine gunners, tankers etc) got them. Currently most companies have literally 1 pistol and it’s for the company commander.
Alvin York from WW1 lol. Who was a Sergeant. There were only 1.9 million 1911s issued in WW2 to US forces, and once again mostly to rear troops, while the main fighters would have their rifles

Unless you have pistol task. And that nagant revolver just suks. Before i got my better pistols i used chauchat to down enemy and it was still 3 shot kill with bolt action fire rate
If only this unlock system for pistol slot be reworked like some only some classes like assaulters, MGs, snipers, etc would get a pistol slot while regular troopers get something else like a bayonet. Who is the squad leader in a unit anyway which would deserve a pistol as an officer.
That’s one of the points I want to reach with this annoying pistol tasks atleast I have a TT and few TKs but still annoying when the soldier that has TT dies. The Nagant is just good at executing enemies and even worse, its the single action variant unlike the double action one in RO2.
