Soldiers who use secondary rifles that share the same ammunition type do not receive any additional ammunition. However soldiers who use secondary rifles with different ammunition types have separate ammunition reserves for each weapon.

current situation

Example using the Mosin (representative of all other weapons):

  • If I equip two Mosins (or any other weapon twice), both weapons share the 71 rounds from the reserve ammunition.

  • If I equip two different weapons that use different types of ammunition, each weapon has its own separate reserve ammunition.

Therefore, my suggestion is that equipping two identical rifles with the same ammunition type should also grant an additional amount of reserve ammunition.

situation with the suggestion

In the case of the Mosin, this would mean:

  • both weapons have 5 rounds loaded
  • there would be a total of 30 rounds (6 clips) in reserve, instead of only 20 rounds (4 clips)
    → that basically would mean, that 2 x same rifles would give 50% ammo providing less ammo then the belts (to ensure the ammunition belts would still be used)

Just use a ammo bag or use a alternate weapon

First of all, your suggenstion is not totaly bad but:

You can’t simply double the amount of basic ammunition, because then there would be no benefit to using an ammo bag. A better solution would be this:

Small Ammo Bag: +10% ammo
2x Same rifle: +50% Ammo
Bix Ammo Bag: + 100% Ammo

radio operators can’t use ammo bag’s.
And it’s not possible if I want to play normal rifles on russian side on BR I-II because they all share the same ammo.

agreed if I use 2 different “ammo eating” rifles I get 2x basic ammo, each for one. If i use 2 with same ammo i not get 2x the ammount of basic ammo, thats the fact.
