Due to recent Japanese overbuff, does that mean Manchuria campaign is confirmed?

It’s a nice thought to entertain at least. It explains (somewhat) the absolute insanity of the weapon changes. I for one am very excited if that’s a case. Finally, the Japanese can have a map that isn’t palm trees or large rivers (I especially hate Gavutu and the 5000 river crossings).

What does everyone else think?

it would do so much good for the game, if done right.

but i wish to ask everyone to keep in mind, that any tampering with japan in terms of balance against the new opposition, will inevitably have to trickle down to western allies, and in turn to germany, doing full circle back to soviets, then jap, etc etc.

try not to enter into a spiral of balancing buffs that turns every weapon, vehicle and equipment to squad destroying machines in BR 1. think for the game, think for the new players that could join and this game desperately needs.

I honestly like the fact that Japanese weapons (and hopefully other factions) have gotten historically accurate stats. That’s something that’s sorely needed. However, it was done extremely sloppily. I don’t know why they didn’t uptier them at the same time - maybe they’re still deciding on a BR?

Either way, this update shouldn’t have been implemented until at least the weapons were properly balanced, or better, the rest of the factions recieved the same treatment of historical stats.

I know the M50 Reising could do 800 rpm depending on the bolt. The MP 35 could do 650 rpm, and the MP 40 could do 550 - 1100 rpm.

Isn’t the 1100 rpm an experimental version of the Mp-40 with an experimental drum mag too?

Im sure manchuria will be next major update. We got manchuria testing that had been long overdue and now japan gets tons of buffs. Also we havent gotten that many new maps this year. Only wald which is just expansion to seelow. I hope it means that manchuria will be really detailed and perhaps we even get multiple maps

I’m not sure. All the photos people showed were the normal version. Maybe the 1100 rpm ones were just mp 40s with worn out springs.

Dunno, not sure if they needed SMG buff and not tank buff (excluding wood tank).

gimme the harbin map

If there is an experimental or prototype in the gun listing, then it is 100% a candidate for Enlisted. Hell, if there were a drawing done at some point on a child’s school note book I think the Dev’s consider it.

“Manchuria campaign” is a very interesting concept to think about.

If we talk just about Soviets vs Japan front, then yes it’s definitely coming.

If we actually put the word Manchuria and try to recreate those locations and cities (like Shenyang/Mukden), then it needs to be capped at BR3 maximum.

Because then what’s the point of recreating the environment of a real Manchurian which took place in 1945 and allowing there things that not only were not used then yet (like Su-9 1946 jet) or didn’t exist at all (HoRi).

So the most probable answer is:

  • yes, we are getting Soviet Japanese front eventually
  • no it will not have much to do with the actual Manchurian campaign unless capped at BR3

What’s sad is how true it is. Hell, I came up with an fictional gun, which is basically an Erma EMP with an foldable stock and pistol grip.
