Thank you for your post.
Im sorry but I cannot support MG42 at BR III. The MG34 is perfectly fine, the MG42 would be OP as hell.
Especially when the Allies only have 20 round BAR and 30 round Bren guns with their annoying top mounted mags.
I am well aware the BARA2 is a great gun but people forget it is a great automatic rifle with 20 rounds. There’s a BIG difference between an automatic rifle and a light machine gun like the MG34 with its 50 rounds.
The Kiraly is a hard one because as others have said its a bit too OP for BR III, but I also recognise its underpowered or at least kinda pointless at BR V when you can just get assault rifles instead.
I believe this is a wider problem with BR IV rather than individual weapons. BR IV has very little content for all factions so youre either OP at BR III or redundant at BR V.
Personally I would separate all BRs so they dont face each other, then move proper WWII content from BR V to BR IV and let BR V be the late war fantasy prototype land with jet spam.
I do however agree with the Johnson especially, it is very true it is a worse BAR. We also have the Johnson rifle at BR III.
Id actually compare the Johnson to the MG 13, so the Johnson could potentially be BR II.
I believe we should get a Vickers K or some other LMG for BR IV.
Ideally I would like to see the following:
BR II: Vickers-Berthier, Bren guns, M1918BAR, Johnson LMG
BR III: M1918A1 and A2 BAR, Lewis gun
BR VI: Vickers K, 50 round M1919.
I also agree with downtiering the M1 Thompson. It would be nice to see some more Owen gun or Sten gun variants. Maybe BR IV or BR V SMG for Allies could be the Sterling.
(Sterling SMG was tested in 1944/1945. It didnt properly replace the Sten gun until 1953 but since it was tested it should be allowed in game at high BR based on the precedent of, well, most high BR content tbh.)
