Down tier the m1919a4 to br3

Currently the m1919a4 is very weak at br4 because of it’s requirements to lay prone and it’s slow rpm. Compared to the only other mg that also requires players to lay flat (browning.303) it comes up lacking.

Comparison to the browning .303:

As you can see the browning .303 has twice the rpm of the m1919a4 which makes it much more effective.

Should the browning m1919a4 be down tired to br3

I’m not sure comparing a battle pass weapon to a TT one is a good comparison. Plus they got a new animation, so maybe you can hip fire with them in the future?

Battle pass weapons also need to be correctly balanced and in this case I think the .303 is in a good position however the m1919a4 is not.

If I’m not mistaken, they will move it to the 3BR and cut down the 50-round magazine.

Unfortunately that spreadsheet has been confirmed to be fake.

Here is the origin of that spreadsheet:

would be so difficult to post both weapons with max-upgraded stats or even better, all of the stats?

Unfortunately I don’t have a fully upgraded m1919a4 because the squad isn’t levelled up enough. Even with the full stats though I don’t think my argument would be any different.

This is … well interesting? I’m not exactly sure how to describe my thoughts. What I will say is it at a minimum needs hipfire, it’s effectively useless to AI unless prone and it’s not often they go prone. Either they fix the AI to properly use stance independently with cover as a way to measure needed stance at that time for survival, or they give hipfire and prone.

AI has been broken for years, many attempts and it’s still a mess. On top of the recent mentality of easy route from the devs? I think it gives us the most effective solution.

If anyone is interested I can go into further detail on what I’d want the AI to do.

Well you could always check Enlisted resource or ask any veteran for a picture.

Well technically MG34 is a BR1 gun when considering it can be build by engineers…

So a MG that cant shoot on the move AT ALL isnt much different to an emplacement…

It removes the main downside of the a6 (no recoil) by requiring being prone or mounted. So yeah definitely. Still outclassed by mg34

As long as the Dev’s insist on keeping this and the German Solothurn prone only weapons, I will never use them. Stupid idea by the Dev’s making them prone only, and a complete waste of a modelers time making them.

The browning 303 is at least good.
