Double Takeout(Bunnies and SA nerf)

In this post, I would like to suggest about two issues: bunny-hopping(+shooting while jumping) and Semi-auto nerf.

Bunny-hopping is definitely a problem, as it is very unrealistic. And it becomes a bigger problem when combined with automatic spam.

Semi-auto nerf was, and is not welcomed. However, this nerf taught me that SAs can be used more slowly and accurately(not just mag dumping as I used to) This doesn’t mean the nerf was good because I could fire my SAs ‘slowly and accurately’ before the nerf.

I want the SAs buffed, but I don’t think the developers will just undo the nerf. So I thought of a solution: buff SAs and make shooting guns drain stamina.

Let me explain more about this. The amount of stamina drained by shooting(separate from holding your breath) should be proportional to the kinetic energy of the bullet. The bigger the energy, the harder it will be to keep shooting. The amount that the bullet drains can be different depending on the stance: being prone will use up less stamina per bullet when shooting. Weapons with high ROF will drain the stamina faster.

What would be the effect of this ‘buff SAs and let shooting guns drain stamina’ idea?
First, we will be able to fight more aggressively with our SAs, however, as SAs fire big rounds, shooting SAs very fast continuously will drain the stamina quickly, limiting movement and long-range combat ability(can’t hold breath due to lack of stamina).

Second, bunny hopping+shooting will be disencouraged. Shooting a weapon while jumping will drain the stamina more rapidly than before, so players won’t be able to continue jump+shoot for long. Some players might continue bunny hopping and shooting, but it won’t be as overpowered.

TL,DR: buff SA and make shooting bullets drain stamina.

This might be hard, as the developers will have to apply different ’drain per bullet’ values for different weapons. What do you think about this idea? Is this unrealistic?
PS: double takeout is a term used in curling, a winter sport.

This.

So many dumb dumb saying “it’s a good nerf, now I can control my gun!” It’s the same as saying “I’m a trigger happy monkey, I cannot control my finger and need an artificial limit to do so for me.”

Restore rof, but add a LOT of recoil when mag dumping in hipfire mode.

Jumping and shooting is not bunny hopping. Bunny hopping is when you constantly jump over and over in order to avoid getting shot. But if you see a dude camping in a corner door waiting for you to bypass it and then you enter jumping a shooting i see no problem in that. The problem starts when you see someone bunny hop and jump repeated times because they are a scumbag at the game. I always jump once if i find myself in certain situations to avoid getting shot by a “smart bullet” bot. But will definetely get shot by a real player as soon as i land. Just give it a cooldown between jumps. Also the jumping height perk is what makes this even worse, even tho its only intended to get to high place.

There is, though. It’s too accurate. Just try to jump like this while maintaining both arms perfectly still to shoot accurately. Makes no sense…

Its not a problem people die easy in this game it doesn’t really give someone an advantage to bunny hope it just makes them stand out more. Its not really bunny hoping like in other older games such as counter strike.

who cares if someone can jump and shoot its not a major problem no idea why people keep complaining about it.

Semi autos seem okay and no shooting guns should not drain stamina that would be rather ridiculous. Why is it people want changes that slow the gameplay down more ?

So all in all bunny hopping is not an issue in this game as it does not exist in enlisted and we don’t need it so when you fire a weapon you lose stamina.

There is no problem as the problem you speak of does not exist.

then make it less accurate… but this is something that is in nearly every shooter. Unless the shooter you guys would like to turn this game into. hll ! all im saying is bunny hopping is cancer, but just jumping and then shooting isnt. in example, camper on a corner waiting for you to enter thru the door. jump and shoot. simple.

they complain about it cause most of the player base of this game comes from another ww2 shooter that is somewhat more realistic in design than enlisted, in example hell let loose. and they are craving to turn this fast paced shooter with lots of bugs, like being able to reload while vaulting, into what they like from other games they played. meanwhile this game has always been a fast paced pushing like game since i started playing 8 months ago.

If it’s not a problem for you, why opose it?
It looks awful and according to you it doesn’t give advantage so just get rid of it and make the game prettier.

Don’t know about shooting draining stamina, but shooting while hopping is a serious problem, seeing a guy jump around a corner and shoot you in the air is ridiculous. At least make it so you can’t shoot while you are in the air.

After reading your comments, I see that I made suggestions without knowing what the real problem is. I’m sorry. I’ll try to make better ones next time. By the way I have never played HLL or RO. I knew their existence after knowing Enlisted.

Idk what’s wrong about that, you’re camping in a corner and this is one of the few ways too kill you.

In this case i think its fair and actually make the gameplay more interesting without worms in every angle.

It’s funny because I unloaded so much firepower and then killed him with a little bonk on the helmet

So what’s the problem? You were faster than him and didn’t fall to this trick, don’t use the argoument of the realistic side or immersion bc it’s stupid and this game has clearly none.

Sorry I thought I was responding to something I said in another thread. Shooting while in the air should be removed. To see someone flying through the air while shooting is ridiculous. And jumping should cost stamina ideally but you don’t jump so high as it is so that’s not a huge problem. There’s plenty of ways to kill me if I’m in a corner; grenades, shooting through the door/wall, tank shells, pieing off the room, simply running in and seeing if you can shoot first…

And yes the game does have some level of realism and immersion, and you can’t just invalidate any argument by saying it has none. With that logic we can add laser rifles.
