Well used to but I don’t have the keyboard installed anymore.
Meanwhile on mobile I have a mini stroke every time I use the Japanese keyboard
Seen from Japanese, Latin alphabet is still better than MS Gothic Japanese text

Imperial Japan was an Empire in of itself, the “Imperialistic” option is therefor the correct one.
But i agree that the unreadable scribbles would make for a better atmosphere
And how do you expect us to read and to pronounce all those characters? 
We have some rights you know? To be able to read japanese with the latin alphabet, just to name one…

That looks wrong, not enough lines.
First you should probably campaign for them to replace english words that Japanese soldiers use in this game for some reason. Overall Japanese voiceover lines are a bit of a mess. Some of them sound like a modern machine translation.
Working on that would add a lot more meaningful authenticity without complicating things for those who can’t read Chinese / Japanese characters.
That is the chinese japanese have less line
As well know Japanese writing system consisted with three set of characters, and Japanese tankers often wrote text with Hiragana (less lines) so it is not a problem.
Problem is just text is meaningless (うつ九と) and font is distorted.
Yep I mentioned that in intial feedback on Day 1 when the Pacific dropped.
I don’t think DG cares though.
And let’s be honest it’s not like many people read the “Kuteitai” on the logo anyway, the squad name still remains English though.
