Currently, we have the system where you don’t get an XP penalty for leaving your first match.
However, even if you have a 9999% booster from silver chests for example, you’ll lose it if your game crashes/internet fails/you hate the BR*map combination you were sent to against your will (like high BR Stalingrad in my case).
Since we don’t punish the first leave with XP deduction, would it be fair to also have a first-match leave option for XP boosters?
Yes, allow one match leave tied to XP penalty system
No, keep discarding the booster if the player leaves
As much as I’d like a complete revamp of the MM/boosters system, including complete Map*BR bans so that I never get sent to high BR Stalingrad, I believe small changes are more probable rather than major reworks.
This! This honestly is the single most effective solution. It should also be fairly easy to implement, why it never was included from the start I have no idea.
I once proposed disabling any penalties for leaving combat if a player ends up on a map that is on the unprferred list. Because this system simply doesn’t work. And adding maps to the list would at least make some sense.
It’s also incredibly frustrating when anti-cheat kicks you out of battle without reason, even with all your boosters. The system proposed by the author will protect honest players from such incidents.
