Hello, I have realized that most, if not, almost all Enlisted players currently disagree with the way the gray zone works and the number of deaths it generates in a mostly unwanted and unpredictable way, so I am going to suggest a definitive solution understanding the reason and its purpose:
-
Understanding that the purpose of the area is to keep the players focused on the battle area.
-
Understanding that the capture points are destroyed as the gray area advances or recedes.
-
Understanding that it is a necessary, although undesirable feature of the game.
I propose the following:
-
The gray area advances without cutting the rear. In other words, its expansion is progressive.
-
It maintains the rear areas as it extends towards the following objectives progressively on the battle front, and if it retreats it only cuts the same expanded front.
-
It maintains the cut and shape on the sides of the area.
-
It maintains the destruction of reappearance points after reaching a goal or retreating.
Conclusion: The rearguard remains always available, so as the area progresses, and the next zone or is back, the rearguard remains intact and although the player can go back whatever he wants, the new reappearance points move to the next position. Technically it is how it works in war, the rearguard is always protected and preserved, it is never cut. The player will advance to be shot, take targets or return to the battle front, imagine it as a map that advances as the area is captured and recedes as control of that same area is lost. Thatβs how it will be for each team.
Implementation method: Design the area of the next gray area starting from the design of the previous area and extend it in the direction of the next objective.
