Does this game cap out at 80-90fps?

I have a 4070ti, i913900K, and 64 GB of RAM. I get 180-190 fps in cyberpunk at maxed out settings. Yet in Enlisted even with some of the settings turned down, I can’t crack 80 fps?

I have tried both dx11 and dx12, which made no difference with fps. Tried validating game files and making sure drivers were up to date. Made sure game is running on fullscreen, tried all nvidia low latency settings, checked fps limit, made sure vsync was off…

I’m at a loss. Surely this game shouldn’t be getting 1/3 the fps as cyberpunk??

No other games have this issue for me

It shouldn’t be. I think it’s just not too well optimized?

just curious, have you tried the Dev server client? and does it run differently?

Try that first to see if there is a difference (runs off its own config). I

I recall being annoyed at losing FPS in Enlisted and noticing it was fine on dev server…I vaguely remember having to delete my config.blk settings and start afresh. that was a while ago…not 100% sure thats what I did…perhaps look into it

what about the setting for your screen hz is it capped at 90?

I have a 4060 and I have it capped at 120 and it does it just fine with it basically running cool-ish
also maybe the clouds are affecting it if its on realistic or if its on native resolution.

I do have my graphics on high with water and clouds turned down to medium/low and shadows on medium/high. nothing is on ultra

The optimization of this game is awful.

I used to get 60fps on average before the last two updates on low, now I can barely get 50fps on minimum.

You should be able to tbh but Cyberpunk is an extremely well optimized game and Enlisted is… not

Your rig is a bit better than mine and i’m playing at 100 fps, max settings. Then again, i’m only playing at 1080p, if you’re at a higher resolution, that might be why your performance is suffering.

I regularly cap out at about 150fps, sometimes upto 180 depending on the map. This is at 1440p. My rig isn’t anything like yours, except the GFX card, which is a RX7900GRE, which is similar in performance to yours.

The trick is to ignore the really instensive GFX options. Just leave them alone. I usually set all the others to high/very high all round. I found that using DX12 with FSR enabled at Quality helps a lot. Not sure if it will for you, having an Nvidia card.

Thank you all for the replies!

It ended up being the Antialiasing setting. I turned it down from Supersampling to FXAA and my fps instantly shot up from 80 to ~200 :tada:

I never thought much of that setting in particular because it does warn that you need at least 8GB of VRAM and my card has 12GB. But lo and behold, this one setting was holding me back

For reference if anyone else stumbles across this thread with the same issue, I did also try:

  • DX 11 vs 12
  • Setting FPS limit to both my monitor’s refresh rate and unlimited
  • Display mode set to fullscreen
  • Ensure vsync is off
  • Turned down various settings like cloud and fog rendering, texture/lighting/refection quality, and many more quality-related settings
  • Deleting files in appdata folder
  • Validating game files
  • Ensuring drivers are up to date

All of these had little to no effect. But that single drop down in the antialiasing setting and I shot up to 190-210 fps with maxed out settings

SSAA is no joke it renders game at 4x resolution. So 4k if you are still on 1080p screen. In WT you can edit it in ini file to render at 2x so game won’t be much sharper on old monitor but not ruin your fps sadly it’s not possible to do this for Enlisted.
