I’ve heard that assaualter ai has short detection range, which should explain thier lack of effectiveness as a lethal cannon fodder. They use weapons ment for short-medium range, so it makes sense that they detect and shoot in close range, but they are just as helpless as a non-assaulter ai when in close range due to their inconsistant awareness and reaction time. Objectively that makes them obsolete compared to any other ai.
Wouldnt it make sense that in sacrifice of some of their range detection, they should get boons.
(Im not an expert so dont take my ideas for granted) The boon could be that assaulter ai doesnt burst shoot like the other ai’s. For example their bursts have shorter pauses or they hold down the trigger for a while because they are shooting in close proximity of enemy. The guns they use a lacking in caliber (which is a significant reason why they dont get kills like the other classes) so they need to compensate by fireing more bullets, which is realistick and make sense.
