That’s why I’m waiting for Steam OS. However, that has nothing to do with why I reacted the way I did.

I still regret changing to windows 11 and lets not start with the cloud scam. Telling children get a job and pay 140 dollars its redisclose comment. The moment we let shareholders and other scum in to the gaming industry its the moment it died.

To answer the OP’s question, yes. You can run Enlisted on Liniux via Steam, or use Proton to run the Windows version. BattlEye can be a bit funny with it, so results will vary, so performance can’t be guaranteed.

That said, Windows 11 isn’t all that expensive if you shop around. And an alternative cheap way is to use a Win10 key then upgrade to Win11 for free. :slight_smile:

In other news, let’s not derail the thread into silly flaming, yeah?

Do what Gator said. If you do not know Linux do not go there. It is not Windows! Ebay, recovery stick, I have a couple myself as well as more advanced ghost sticks(keep one on my keychain). OEM keys are also cheaper. 4$-7$.

Hardly worse, I worked at MS back in the 95 days. I cut my teeth doing paid support. It was the start of an amazing 8 years. The reason why 11 sucks is Co pilot. The AI addition added nothing but compounding bugs onto a stable OS. Windows may not be the greatest but Linux! LOL Linux is a professional OS, Windows is for the public. Like drivers? Well they are easy in windows guess how easy they are in Linux? They are not because most manufacturers are not going to waste their time. Windows/MAC You could buy stocks off of MS HCP when OS’s came out. It was a list of the haves and have nots. Linux is the edge lord of OS’s. I do not even bother using it anymore and I have had to use it a lot in the past for testing. FG we have talked about this in the group chat. Windows 11, you do not have the decades of tech to hit the ground running with Linux. It is not intuitive. Linux is for people who can dedicate their time to learning esoteric languages to do the most simple of tasks. Its amazing that way. You can make what you want, its very open source in the way it works. But that is the half the problem. Unless you want to learn how to operate a serial digiboard I would avoid that rabbit hole and go with Plug and Play. Here is an idea as well just create a recovery thumb drive. Follow the instructions. Its not like you are data striping.

There are certain ways in which you can have windows 11 activated lifetime without paying through the CMD and i can tell it’s trustworthy… but… that’s for you to research ;}
