Meaning, that if you for example take out the most amount of tanks on your team, but someone on the enemy team takes out one more, who gets a medal for that?

I’m pretty sure it’s battle-wide. Meaning, if someone on the enemy team gets more whatever to gain the medal, then it goes to them.
I could be completely wrong though, so don’t quote me on it.

Poop. I see. That’s why I didn’t get an engineer medal, even though it was basically just me making rallies. XD

That one is not even about building rallies but getting the most score on the engi.
So if someone in your lobby got a 20 kill killsteak on his engi but did not even build a single rally he still will get the medal because it is score that matters.
