It’s not that Soviet mains are bad, it’s just that Japanese mains are better.
My theory is that if you go on YouTube as a new player in Enlisted and search for ‘the best nation to start with,’ you’ll usually be recommended the USSR. This means that, not many people start grinding Japan until they’ve been playing the game for a while.”

Yeah, this appears to be the case. New players tend to go with US or Soviets (and to a lesser extent, Germany, too). Japan seems to be an afterthought for most new players, which is a shame, because it’s a cracking faction to play as at lower BR.

I’ve seen this first hand I just started the full grind on Russia and a lot of players are really bad. They don’t build rallys and they don’t attack the point.
The same can be said for any faction if you get a team of newer players. It’s one of the reasons I play lower BRs, so I can spam “We need a rally point” throughout the match until people start building them.

The Soviets Soviet players have both the worst and the best players.
It’s just that, there’s a whole lot more of the bad players.
Japanese players are very dedicated to playing Japan, US players are the biggest scumbags in the game.
That’s the whole roster for you.

I play at low tier now and then because sometimes it’s nice to show the new guys how it’s done.

It’s in my nature to help people, so I often play BRI to give the newbies a leg-up.
I hang around like BR 2-5
85.9% is crazy though when I get the U.S I struggle it’s an actual challenge but once I get the Soviets it’s usually a steam roll and I mainly play Japanese and U.S&Allies I’ll get games where I don’t even get to do anything because my team just crushes them right away.

when it existed campaigns, the first one I level up was Japan, a true pain in the ass, but so fun <3

I leveled Japan when Japan dropped so I had a head start.
Kinda, you can learn new things by seeing the enemy kill you with it 
Thats how I realised TNT and explosive packs are a good way to deal with tanks.

well Explosive packs are good if you either disable the target first or cook and throw it.
and TNT works on everything
