Do you like the Weapons and Vehicles of the "Off road Patrol"?

Today, the Deva have released whats coming in the newest update, that being:

Jeeps for every nations.
The Gaz for the Soviets

The Kubelwagen for Germany

The Willie’s for America

The Type 95 Kurogane for Japan

They also show that Japan is getting the G4M1 plane

And the Lewis gun with 97 rounds for America

They also say that the Jeeps will go to the APC claas, which had been renamed to Driver Class.

Now then, I have to ask your thoughts on these weapons and vehicles.

  • I love what is coming in the next update
  • I like what is coming in the next update
  • I like somethings and hate other things about this up coming update
  • I’m neutral on this
  • I dislike this upcoming update
  • I hate this upcoming update
  • I don’t care

In my opinion, I dislike the fact that the Lewis gun we got is for Br 4, and not a br 3 version, and worse, the Jeeps are going to the APC class instead of thr Rider class. But besides that, it’s alright.

The armed cars are very nice - though I don’t understand the insistance on them still being three-man squads, pump those numbers up a little!

The main gripe, however…

The devs might as well have slapped me in the face with this one…

They’re given a huge mandate to do… basically nothing, and just copy-paste.

I mean, how much clearer can public opinion get…? Instead, we get something that was deliberately not asked for;

ok what does the us have for a br4 mg that is worth br4, you have an mg you need to go prone to use, you have the Johnson that is br3 at best

I hate it.

Riders and all the things alike are nothing but gimmicks.

We do not need mechanized infantry… the maps are not large enough to require them.

Will only serve as objective rushers… and with 3-4 people? HA! But I don’t agree to giving them more… I think you should he punished for using such stupid of a class.

Players can’t even figure out how to build a rally point… and it’s not that difficult to build a flank one anyway… in fact this will just draw more attention to you.

Useless.

I might as well also just add that the Lewis Mk III is another example of the lack of forward planning by the devs - or general disinterest with the Commonwealth.

Because the irony is that a weapon(/magazine alternative) that actually saw frontline service - the Bren Mk I 100 - is a battle pass weapon, whilst the panic last-ditch Home Guard weapon gets in to the tech tree.

I happen to own four copies of the Bren Mk I 100 already, so I am not as personally annoyed by this as I probably should be… I care way more about getting my Lewis Mk I*…

There are quite a lot I could say to this…

I could note that the Lewis Mk III is not BR IV worthy… all British aircraft Lewis guns were either manufactured with or later refitted to have a higher rate of fire than the ground service pattern (ca 800 instead of the normal 500-600), and so it’s not even a “BR IV worthy” weapon… if I wasn’t so annoyed by this situation I’d make a suggestion to correct this, but I won’t… well, I might be petty enough to do it, anyway.

I could also add that the US already has two alternatives, and the solution to them not being balanced properly isn’t to add another incorrectly implemented gun into the mix. The M1919A4 should be able to be hip-fired, and the M1941 Johnson should finally be corrected and moved down to either BR II (preferably) or III.

Anyway, my ideal US-specific high-BR MG rebalance (no Commonwealth involvement) would be to; 1. give the current Event Stinger the correct 200-box model to match its statistics, 2. add the old 100-round Stinger model to the tech tree as a BR V MG, 3. downtier the M1919A6 and M1919A4 by one BR each (adjust stats if nessesary), and 4. add a new BR III M1919A6 with a 50-round belt.

Meh: Cars. I feel that like motorcycles, they will end up being a ticket drain and a gimmick 90% of the time. Though allowing them to cap is a good change. Slightly worried about the grenade box implementation, would not want that to enable endless spam.

I love the addition of the Jeeps as well as the Japanese plane, but really don’t care for the MG, Iike with the Johnson MG, I hate the gun site.

Note, having owned two Jeep Wranglers and having had six adults ride in them I know you can realistically carry at least six, however I know the Dev’s will cheese us by only allowing four.
