Do we still have an official roadmap and development plans for this year?

It’s already 2026.
I can’t remember if the game released its latest development roadmap. I only recall they put one out in 2022 and 2023, and all the listed content has been finished. But key features like letting friends join ongoing matches mid-battle, clans, and a proper chat box were never added.
That’s a real letdown.
I know socialist countries set five-year plans for development and such.
Is the game’s development now just a guessing game, waiting to see if the devs will say anything each day?
Does anyone still have screenshots of the old roadmaps they could share?

The ally join-in-battle feature was briefly added to the game back in March 2025.
It was quickly pulled for rework, and we haven’t heard a single update about it ever since.

Now it’s 2026, the game has been out on Steam for two years, yet we still don’t have a text chat box to communicate with teammates we queue up with.
There’s no general in-game chat to exchange information mid-match either.

At the end of the day, our basic social features are far more bare-bones than War Thunder’s.
It’s really frustrating. How are we even supposed to make friends in this game?

You can communicate in game I do it all the time It’s just not something that people actually do much of.

I think the game is too fluid and dynamic for people to take the time to text one another but you can do it

The main thing I want is a way to discuss with my four-person squad which nation and BR we’re going to play before the match.
Typing mid-battle is really inconvenient, especially when there’s a language barrier.
Worse still, DF’s built-in communication tools don’t even have half the options War Thunder offers.
We can’t even send quick voice alerts like “watch out for flanking hidden troops and partisans” or “incoming enemy aircraft with bombs and rockets”.
