Do the developers visit the forums?

Greetings, honored forum users.

From your personal experiences, do the development teams actually visit the forums for any adjustments the player base deem necessary (doesn’t always mean it is a good idea, but at least there could be a dialogue if the developers were to deign to visit the forums)?

Or do they view the players as mere peasants with no valuable input to give, and merely exists for the marketing team to milk for cash?

I have yet to see any discussion visited by a member of even the public relations team, and would like to know if any of you esteemed forum users have in the past.

My most sincere gratitude to any and all answers from the bottom of my heart

I remain

They say that many of the changes, additions, etc they add and work on are almost entirely based on the feedback they get from forums. However do not take that as we get every single thing we want, because obviously the devs have their aims too.

I can’t list anything off the top of my head, but I do know they have done, added, whatever things based on forum feedback.

I think the devs do a great job for the most part. And just because they don’t actually post doesn’t mean they’re not watching or listening

yes , they did interact on some posts befor . example :

and countless game changes or features have bn introduced/changed by our request.

most take time. sure, but most, were our ideas .

Perhaps I am asking for far too much from such a dedicated and hard-working team of developers, but a little communication would go a long way, would you not agree good sir?

My gratitude for your input.

I am in no position to doubt your statement. I suppose it remains to be seen if there will be any changes to how the several campaigns are balanced.

Thank you for your reply.

every campaign will be forever unbalanced where, the players actually play.

no gear or toys or what ever will change that.

its a endless task with no fix.

nothing changed on tunisia axis in the past 2 updates, yet, they steamrole now. as example…

this said, game is unbalanced by design. either we like it or not. it is what it is.

The sands of North Africa scorches me far too much for me to venture there and see for myself. I will take your word for it.

Ah yes, the age old advice of stoics everywhere. I do agree, it is what it is, and any changes are bound to upset someone else.

Thank you once again for your input.

“development teams actually visit the forums” No, they barley do

Some much need improvements stated by our peasants are 2/3 years old and got taken in consideration a year ago. What they look at is in game algorithm’s and player data code, to decide to improve/Nerf or fix/rune something.

Your biggest chances are a moderator picks it up and passes it to support management who then consider it for reviewing and then let the Development team decide if they gonna work or use it.

I personally do not believe we have much input, for example the secondary weapon fiasco for premium and event squads, we are just peasants.

i somehow belive in this from times to times… but then something we requested shows up.

i donno…

Thank you for your honesty.

Action speaks louder than words, as they say. Presumably I will be correct to say that if we wish for any changes, we should demonstrate it to the developers in-game?

On and on we toil, forever doomed to repeat the process of pain and suffering all for a little dose of adrenaline in the match, and endorphin when victory is achieved… or more pain and suffering when defeated.

Thank you for your encouraging words. Just for merely responding to my post, I would like to extend to you my sincere gratitude.

I am uncertain as to whether I should be terrified or at ease.

Now if I may; do you have any insight as to the probability of an Asian Server? I seem to recall that there was a period of time when an Asia-based server has been implemented, but that was quite some time ago.

Can’t say anything about Asian server, except my opinion: If devs will see a opportunity for it… They will do it.
Thanks for warms words, it’s always pleasant to read с:

That’s because everyone has his own role, f.e. you can see me more on reddit. Also not replying to every topic doesn’t mean that we are not checking them.

Very well then, hopefully such an opportunity arises in the near future.

A pleasure, it is good to know that there are those out there who cares for our plight.

I understand that, though I would assume that many feels as if they are being ignored when there is little no response from the people above us?

hi.

yes

but usually they are not really up to dialogues outside devblogs threads.

mostly helpers doing the lord works of passing our suggestions and bug reports to the off-forum threads. ( or documents. we don’t really know what happens off forum )

not sure about this, i don’t… think.

all they do, is view our “content”, and decide whether share it with the team or not.

from there, devs ( the one we don’t know ) along side game designers and other bunch of ghost folks ( to our eyes ) will decide what to implement, and what not.

out of my 301 created posts, i can guarantee you at least i have been given answers in 40 of them by helpers/forum related moderators.

and only 3/1 from devs ( which 2 of them by  and the other from avalan )

so… it’s… very rare, but at least they do it.
most likely, they see it, and don’t comment.

Reading feedback is one thing. Acting based on feedback is another thing.

Thank you for your detailed reply!

I will have to take your word for it, I have not been around long enough to notice any significant changes due to player input.

By my calculations, this is around 13.3% of posts being noticed by the developers. Of course, I have not taken into account posts unrelated to developers, as such the percentage could be higher.

Indeed it is. As I am new to the forum (not the game itself), I will have to wait and observe the ratio between developer/helper responses : actual changes due to player input. Thank you for your reply.
