Do i have a time to grind?

So iam interesting to grind berlin, do i still have a lot of time before merge, iam a f2p player, and why a lot people hate playerbased in berlin?

Normally the merge should have come by now, but I have no idea when that will come.
I don’t expect it to come until at least the end of the current battle pass…another month, but maybe the next battle pass will start without a merge too.

is the alpha test from week ago is a merge test?

It’s not that much the playerbase (other than the fact it’s pretty one sided sometimes) than the campaign itself encourages the most sweaty play possible:

It’s end war. You find the latest, most deadliest equipment and vehicles in here, as such everyone you see will have a full automatic laser, or at the bare minimum a semi auto. Bolt actions are available, but nobody uses them. So it’s very, very fast paced.

It’s not wrong per say. Some players thrive in this setting and love this fast paced, gun blazing automatic action.

What’s important, is to know if that is for you, or not.

The last info we had about the merge was two months ago when the developers said that the merge won’t come with the major update and would have a specific test server.

We did not get any news about the merge since that.

if you wan´t sea club bots with sweaty axis vets then go for it.

grinding berlin is…

complicated.

if you are going for allied players, you will be pretty much on your own.

since not many soviets are willing to pull up a fight.

on the other hand, if you are going to grind axis, you’ll have the opposite problem.

too many players that are somewhat more willing to pull up a fight and are fully equipped with automatic weapons.

it’s still somewhat managable, but as you are someone who dislike smgs, you’ll have to play many more matches due to potentially sweat lords stealing your kills because they shoot faster.

the reason why people hate berlin, it’s primarily by how it’s played by players.
once again, full stgs and ppshs around every corners.

which in heated situations might become unfun. as your bots are barely helping and are helpless in the pathfind that it’s a nightmare in berlin.

it’s… still somewhat managable compared to berlin allies, since you’ll be at least winning most of the time.

but eh, the choise is yours.

regarding timing, dunno.
barely anyone knows.

we might hear something about the update next week as it was hinted this week.

which means, before we’ll get the actual update, and more news, you will have roughly 2 weeks.

in 2 weeks, as axis, you can still get some good equipment. i’d suggest to at least reach the panther ( which might be a toll, but definitely worthed.

along side relatively easy to obtain shotguns, panzerfausts, g43s, mp40s & mg34s not to mention, the already unlocked VG-2. it’s the best axis bolt action rifle as it has 10 rounds and has magazines. ( you might want to get bolt actions reload fasts perks on your soldiers, as it is somewhat slow on the cocking the bolt between each bullets part ) but nevertheless, one of the best rifle that i forgot to mention in the other thread especially if fully upgraded.
( which then, if you manage to reach level 12, you get a panther G. somewhat the best panther due to it’s armor )

Hay iam grinding berlin too right now at chapter 3, is the panther G very good?, and cant be one shot if you angle it?

panthers can be one shotted in the turret frontally.

and i wouldn’t recommend angle it. because you would expose the small slopes of the sides. which are the weakest part of the panther.

panthers are generally good due to their armament ( such as main cannon and coax ) it can destroy any vehicle that the allies have and it will be even greater after the merge against USA forces. ) although, you will need to fire on weakspots. or generally, not so sloped parts of your opponents.

with that being said, the weakspots that can get your self killed, are from the side under the turret, and frontally if the enemy land a shot under the gun’s mantlet ( only with bigger calibers. such as the is2, and SU85s/100s the rest such as t34s and is1s will need a bit more luck to 1 kill you in the turret).

this means, for you, it would be best if you never be stationary, always move, wiggle the turret a bit when you are reloading and the enemy is looking at you and ready to fire.

for the rest, usually is very survivable. ( unless they get your ammo )

meaning that, shots that has been landed in your turret, might kill 3/2 people inside, but you can back up / replace them relatively quickly and shoot back.
( of course, depends many cases )

so, use it from cover to cover. try to expose less your flanks, support infantry, and you will be mostly good.

keep in mind that… panthers are somewhat slow on the reload side. and not really suited for urban combat ( ironically ). so you want to keep at minimum 100/150 meters away from the objective. where you are not too far back to be of any use, but at the same time, not too close to get bombed. and, don’t count too much on the traverse speed to avoid bombs. go forward. as the traverse it’s one of the most slow.

use the commander copula for better surrounding view and use your mg wisely as it will somewhat overhat quickly.

until you get tigers.

then, all you will need to do, is angly of 30° and almost nothing can get through.

The main September event is now over, this means that in the upcoming week we’re likely to see either some news about the merge (any news, not implying it’s actually close) or some new event, which would mean it’s still too early and they need some filler to keep us active in the meantime.

No clue if the Battle Pass deadline is actually of any relevancy in this regard.

Anyway, before the merge actually happens, SUPPOSEDLY there should be at least one test server session for it.

i mean having a merge mid battlepass wouldnt be a good thing right? at least i dont think it a good thing

I was going to suggest he starts the grind and get as far as he can get, but you already pointed it out that Berlin Axis is worth it.
