Do engineers get XP for spawn points?

Just saw a thread on Reddit about someone going around destroying other ppl’s spawns and replacing with his own - presumably wanting to get any benefit from others using his spawns if there is such a thing.

So - is there any payoff for an engineer if others use a spawn he’s built? (Other than helping the tactical situation of the team of course! :))

Yes, there’s exp for it you can see it when the game ends

I know there’s an award for best engineer - but that’s just most builds isn’t it?

that also counts how many your rally point used i think

You earn 15 scores per squad spawning on your rally point. Tho, it’s still rather low compared to, say, flying and tanking.
