Do energy fighters work?

So some time ago I was flying my Bf109 that is supposed to be good at maintaining it’s energy.
But tbh I didn’t see any diffetence between me and the enemy (I don’t remember what plane it was) when we were climbing after a dive.

So does it work at all? It’s just so subtle or I had bad luck and the enemy also had energy fightet?

Since the planes are changed stat wise to fit the game I dont think the differences between the planes are significant enough to do such stuff

No. That is one thing they really need to work on. granted this game is not going to be il2, but it needs help

Can use 109 energy to bleed out a il2 or a biplanes. But yeah the different seems pretty minimal with other fighters.

Id be more upset about it if 90% of engagements werent bushwacks.

Very rarely get the oppurtunity to manuever someone, most of the time they never see you or vice versa and its over.

Hammerhead rudder turns are amazing though.

it’s stupid at least because some fighters get outrated by attackers while being unable to hit&run because of lack of speed

yea dats a problemo. fighters actually can’t outrun or outrate some attackers which looks quite stupid

The maps are way too small for much realism in the air and air assets are way to easily replaced for most people (incl me) to worry much about it.

I don’t agree that maps are too small for this. There is plenty of space in the air.

And if we want to remove this (for whatever reason) at least give this subclass some mobility buff so it’s not in a disadvantage.

It’s not even about space above maps. It’s all about time. Just take fokkewolf (or find youtube videos) in DCS and try to climb at least to 3-5 km, then find target then hit&run few times. Realism doesn’t tolerate too much kids’ runs, but at least we could get more speed for fighters like FW or La-7
