Dispersion - good or bad?

I like current level of dispersion. It adds realism to the game (not every weapon is of the same quality) + emphasizes that Enlisted is a game for everyone :family_man_man_boy: :family_man_man_girl_boy: :family_man_girl_girl: not only for snipers :face_in_clouds:

I got used to it, so I’m pretty neutral about it. But there were times when I really hated it.

I hate dispersion bug when braced, other than that dispersion isn’t even that much of a deal.

it needs to be displayed (together with other important stats) in the weapon description, so every player can instantly get precise understanding how a weapon/vehicle is. something like reload speed is a crucial stat for tanks, even more important than some armor stats (many are wrong anyways, since turret top armorment strongly differs on many parts but only one single number is giving, giving completely wrong impressions), but they are nowhere displayed

Some weapons have severe debuffs in terms of dispersion when they probably shouldn’t, and other weapons have dispersions that are just stupid
As a mechanic it’s whatever. Keeps people from beaming across the map with SMG’s. As implemented…it’s questionable

I don’t mind dispersion. On some MGs it’s pretty wild but for the most part, so long as you are consistent with your aim, you’re going to drop whoever you are shooting at

Movement penalties make me avoid all MG type of weapons, I use A and D together with my mouse to aim, I am always on the move - I am not going to abandon the way I have played video games for the past 20 years for one class of weapon.

Well if this MG movement penalty dispersion wouldn’t be as bad as to literally miss shots in close quarters + if we had functioning bipods, that would make me try MGs again, but other than that dispersion as a mechanic has completed destroyed a whole class of weapons for me.

Also semi auto rifles should have no dispersion what so ever.

All MGs have way too much dispersion, other than that it’s resonable (SMGs - bad accuracy, BA rifles - good accuracy etc).
But this doesn’t stop me from laughing about how bad it is :upside_down_face:

It’s just a PURE EVIL. Sometimes it’s feel like I play in fk RPG game, not a FPS.

Nice joke. Try to play with BA(non upgraded) in Pacific. You will know what’s pain is.

I use stock Kar98k quite often and as long as I can see the target I can hit it. What gun do you use?
Also why I didn’t get a notification you messaged me? Stupid forum.

At like 100 meters you can actually miss targets with BAs if they aren’t even upgraded - not that it actually matters tho

I think unupgraded weapon dispersion is way too high, making new players extremely uncompetitive.
Select weapons have a little bit too much dispersion for my liking too - the Hei is kinda egregious for example

I mean, if you move and shoot. You miss. If you stay and shoot from distance. You miss.
I am talking about 1 star BA of any nations(even sniper rifle).

Maybe that’s because I messaged you after edited already posted answer. Maybe not, idk.

Dispersion is one of the big sins for any fps.
To simply put; that is not how guns work.
There is only 1 legit reason to implement it: you are unable to simulate gunplay properly .
It feels like in an alternative universe and rifling was never invented or some sci fi shooters that you are using plasma cannons

I mean, guns do have some inherent innacuracy, but goofy shit like the Hei is a bit much.
