it weighs less and is easier to produce, the description says it but historically there were other factors, much more important, but in the game not much changes between the two

Avs have in 1.5 more magazine and auto mode(But its useless)

Favorite change like that is the PzB 38 being replaced with the PzB 39.
No functional difference between the 2, but the devs wanted to change the flavor text for some reason.
