Different Damage Output For Soviet/German Machineguns

While copying performance data of equipment into an excel sheet I noticed that all Machine Guns in the Moscow campaign deal the same amount of Damage and penetration at the same range (Could be the same for normandy but I am not there yet).
I can understand if all the German or all the Soviet MGs dealt the same damage at the same range since they use the same caliber(7.62mm) and have the same muzzle velocity(750m/s for German and 815 m/s for Soviet). But it does not seem very logical that both German and Soviet Machineguns are basically the same in terms of damage output, while having a different muzzle velocity.

soviet 7,62 × 54R
german 7,92×57 mm Mauser

Even if you account for different mass of projectiles there is still a difference hence my comment.
Please do enlighten me if there is anything else I am missing

Still gonna mow down people even if one is one point lower. Not much point

I agree gameplay wise it does not matter. It was just odd seing it in the datesheets where 50% of information is irrelevant to gameplat to begin with

Weapon cards are not finished, so they don’t necessarily reflect actual weapon stats in the game.

Ah thx for the info

I think that is again the moment where it simply shows that this is no military simulator but a shooter which is more on the arcady side with a scent of realism compared to very action baed fps like CoD.
Damage wise there are different categories of wepons instead of a single profile for each and every gun.
The average bolt action does 14 dmg, full power catridge semi autos and machineguns do 12 dmg.
The thought behind this is probably that the bolt action has a high chance to kill with one shot while the 12 dmg guns often down with the first hit and a second one is needed to kill. Thus bol action still have something going for them compared to the weapons with a higher rof.

Neither one of them is making you more dead than the other.

even if this was a simulator there is no marked difference in damage between these two rounds

100FPS difference in a 30 caliber machine gun round isnt a big deal

It’s only a balance problem. All MGs, semi and full-auto rifles have 12.0 damage in this game.

It’s basically the same round.

But the DP is incredibly underwhelming compared to the german coax. 3 low-rof hits to kill someone at mid range is a joke.

It’s not the cards that are incorrect. It’s the guns themselves that aren’t finished in terms of historically accurate stats. All rifles weigh exactly 5.0 kg. Etc.

The stat cards aren’t wrong.

The devs simply haven’t bothered putting in proper stats and copy paste as much as possible.
