I used to be able to kill people in one hit with the Nagant Pistol from close range. This seems fine to me since it had the rate of fire of a Bolt action rifle and its damage falloff at range along with its lack of zoom prevented it from being a replacement for a bolt action. After using it last night however, it feels like the Nagant is a 2 shot kill at minimum range now, which makes it useless because of its rate of fire.
The Nagant Pistol should be able to one shot kill people at close range, but still have worse falloff than a Bolt action rifle, so it 2 shots if the target is too far away.
Nagant pistol is mostly used by tankers and pilots and it should stay that way. This is a realistic game and we don’t need counter strike deagle action
I don’t really care about the IRL specifications, they aren’t useless as a referance (for example I would raise some eyebrows if the PPD became a low ROF high damage per shot gun) I’m talking about game balance, the damage for infantry guns already isn’t realistic and Enlisted is hardly trying to be another Post Scriptum or Squad. Right now the soviet pistol is useless because it has the Rate of Fire of a bolt action rifle and requires 2 hits to kill.
It shouldn’t be MORE powerful than a bolt action, I’m saying it should be able to one shot within about 25-50m and then have harsh damage fall-of from their, which is how I remember it being when I used it a while ago. This would make it actually useful in comparison to the German Pistol, (which is Semi-Automatic unlike the Nagant pistol and has only 0.5 less max damage) while still being inferior to the Bolt action rifle, since the Nagant Pistol still wouldn’t be able to one shot targets at medium to long range, wouldn’t be able to zoom in, and would have a long reload time.
Im not suggesting it become a god gun, Im saying the Russians should have a pistol that is competitive with the German Pistol
Well as a big fan of both Realistic shooters and Enlisted, I can say Enlisted isn’t that realistic a game.
Its a great for what it is, but Rising storm 2, Post Scriptum (which is one of the most under rated WW2 games out their IMO), Squad, Hell let Loose, all do hyper realism a lot better.
Aside from the tank mechanics, the war thunder tank damage system is amazing.
In my opinion, Enlisted is closer to a Battlefield game in terms of realism than those I mentioned, and that isn’t a bad thing since the game is still fun.
why not, it has a similar rate of fire to the mosin. If damage dropoff meant that it was a 2 shot kill outside of close range i think it would be a balanced little pocket mosin.
I can understand if your talking about any of the other pistols but the Nagant has too slow a fire rate to be a viable 2 shot kill.
that’s like saying “don’t use the BT-7 as the BA-11 exists” why would the BT-7 exists if there is no reason for it to exist, because tha BA-11 is better?
