Ok, I’m old, blind and sometimes not overly intelligent, but I just got the plane from the fifth anniversary event (which I am not complaining about), however it is number nine on the list of rewards and I haven’t got the 2nd Lewis Assault Rifle yet which is number eight on the list, did I miss something, or do these not always go in order of what is pictured?

You haven’t missed anything. This should be a new bug.
It is unknown whether players who obtain Il-8 will be banned.
Especially for those players who still choose to use the Il-8 in combat after obtaining it.

However, players obtained game items they shouldn’t have through bugs in violation of regulations.
Some players might have used the Il-8 to participate in battles and earn illegal income.
Even many times.
Apart from the fact that the amount involved is huge.
It’s already very close to the reason for the recent ban event

I wouldn’t use it anyway, I already have the Soviet planes I like in my lineups. 
Now where is my second Lewis Assault rifle.

My best bet is that they mixed things up : current step is IL-8 and next step will be Lewis Rifle.

I was just surprised to get the plane when I was expecting the Lewis . I guess I will know in two days. 
I wish they would raise the Lewis up to 500 ROF though, but, I do like it better then the Bren.

Amazingly, we have been discussing for 30 minutes, but no staff member has responded.
Whether they are helpers, cm, moderators, developers, or salespeople.
There aren’t even words like “forwarded” or “known bug”.
In my small community, the news about this bug is spreading rapidly, and many players have begun to stop playing the game and choose to wait and see.
No one wants to get two identical Il-8s in the same corps and miss out on the second Lewis Assault Rifle (lmg).
Oh no, it seems I’ve also violated the ban that stops other players from playing the game.

It is an error on the infograph, the reward for the 8th and 9th completed tasks are switched.
Correct order:
8 completed tasks: IL-8
9 completed tasks: Lewis Assault Rifle

As of less than two minutes after cm‘s words, the news post still had incorrect pictures. The pictures in the game are the same error.
Players really don’t want to take advantage of this bug.
Well, fixing the images (EN and RU) takes a bit more time, but they should be updated soon.

I just had this issue myself. Just finished grinding and got the IL-8 today but I haven’t received the 2nd Lewis Rifle yet

It’s a visual bug. The Lewis is the next major reward. They’re just switched around, that’s all.

The Lewis gun is not optimal with it’s slow ROF, but IMOP it’s better then the Bren. 
I only use three MG’s in BR2 Allies anyway, and have been using three BP Chatellerault machine guns, which. I like them better then the Bren or the Vickers-Berthier , but I think the Lewis is a little better with it’s bottom feeding magazine.
