Did Gaijin Devs watch T-34?

I watched the Russian movie T-34 last night - great movie

It is a must watch if you are an Enlisted fan. The tanks, camo patterns (even had the flag Stalingrad tank) , grenades, uniforms was like watching a real life enlisted battle.

I am convinced they either copied Enlisted or ideas from this movie was used to develop game. It was just uncanny the similarities.

You’ve probably seen it.
I think the 2016 game Panfilov’s 28 Men is quite similar in concept to Enlisted.
It was developed by Gaijin, and I suspect that much of the historical accuracy from that game has been incorporated into Enlisted.

I just started that movie after T34 and fell asleep. It was ok but did not have that T34 effect. I will finish it tonight

I remember hearing that the shell‑impact visuals in the movie were referenced from Gaijin’s shell‑ballistics data.
What sticks with me most, though, is that ever since I started playing Enlisted, whenever my high‑explosive round bounces off the ground and flies off into nowhere, I end up thinking about that movie scene where a ricochet shell takes out a tank.

Thinking about it, the T‑34 is still very representative.
On one hand, the IS‑1 had a short service life and is not well‑known.
The IS‑2 is famous, yet if you put it into combat, its reload time lets enemy tanks fire four to five rounds against it.
That leaves the T‑34 as the best‑suited vehicle to depict.

I noted that sound effects are like the game also, that swirling sound is the best word I could think of.

That would be the worst thing to watch. That is popcorn WW2. Go watch Come and See. I liked the movie but COME ON! Fury is more realistic.

I was not comparing to WWII, I was comparing to the Enlisted game. Just crazy the similarities.

Personally, saving Private Ryan is a ‘realistic’ WWII on the war scenes. Fury is good.

Full Metal jacket for realistic boot camp.

Yes, very much Enlisted I agree. Its a good movie but a bit silly at times. I enjoyed the CGI parts a lot. Its like if someone made World of Tanks the movie. Come and see, Stalingrad those are all time great WW2 movies. Generation War is good if you want to see the German version of Band of brothers.

panfilov 28 its based in the same maps of enlisted

Volokolamsk

I recommend watching the film “Fortress of war.” It is still considered one of the best modern films about the Eastern Front made in Russia/Belarus.

watched the movie yesterday… YEAH… it was cool how similar the uniforms looked… the movie was good too
