Nah actually they work well now aganist bomber,but the cannon still is a shit aganaist player plane is the same problem of the AA who some time is like the shoot dont do damage, only good know what they broken because them dont know it

To me it looks they don’t have any HE aspects. I don’t know if it was like that irl, but gameplay-wise it’s extremely annoying.

I think majority of people who claim AA are useless just shoots AP ammunition since they’re lazy to reload to HEs.

Plane should use universal belt from warthunder, who if i remember correctly use almost solid bullet and bullet with a small HE filler inside
(Outiside some german plane)

AA have a unique belt i dont remember what order but it should use HEFI-T and API-T, AP, mostly they have a small ammount of HE filler or none exactly like universal belt

So imo plane damage is inconsistent because of the lack of HE damage

Thanks for explanation, I never was a flyboi. So I really don’t know lot of stuff abotu this topic. I can only refer to my personal experience.

My experiencen is… after the update it took way longer for my boomerang to shot down plane than my I-16.
Hispanos were still doing pretty much nothing. And I ran out of ammunition very quickly. I had to rely only MGs yet again.
So I didn’t bother even try my Tempest.

Idk why, but I-16 that has only MGs can shoot down plane way quicker than anything that has hispanos cannons.
I don’t know if it suppose to work like that.

And in the matter of AA, I never had a problem to shot down plane if I actually hit it. Which can sometimes only depend on luck since the white circle often do not reflects reality.

Darkflow need to give the exact time of update with 100% guarantee. Don’t keep people waiting over and over.

I16 MG is firing almost API-T who are armor piercing incendiary round and do a lot of damage exploding inside

cannon usually fire HEI and HEFI-T who are explosive incendiary/fragmentation round who explode outiside the plane and technically should be more stronger but because the damage spread of HE in the game is inconsistent under the 30mm… we get what we see

I hope they find what is the problem with HE round on day

My Tempest works the exact opposite. Player planes go down (almost) fine, AI bombers tank hundreds of rounds.

Idk the spitfire VC kill bomber easily but have problem aganaist player plane as usual…
