nerf, nerf, nerf… we will end up playing only with a knife.
Which reminds me…
I’m pretty sure bombs already teamkill. At least, I’ve gotten teamkills when I’ve used planes and bombed areas before.
The less they have to fix after the two nerfs on artillery is the “artillery is ready” you start hitting 7 like crazy and it keeps saying something like “ok you have to wait until other team mates artillery is finished to start yours”… so you keep hitting 7 key until finally you can use it.
So no “artillery is NOT ready” … they have to give us a message when we actually can use it ! At least that.
It’s still beta so they are trying to balance it.
The truth is that with all that bombing from artillery, planes, mortars the game is indeed a " concussion simulator" where you can have your squad wiped out anywhere easily.
And of course - because there are a lot people commenting about realism - if they want realism, bombs should kill EVERYONE, not selectively only enemies.
“Less bombs + killing everyone in area” is something they should work on.
Maybe when destroying structures and vehicles that explodes?
I have also seen many times, especially in d-day, Axis players trying to defend a point while Allies attacking, bomber throws the bomb and kills every Axis player > Allies capturing = win
Did that plane suicide before bombs exploded?
Weedie, you need to put down the pipe because it’s killing brain cells. You know absolutely nothing about how indirect fire is called for. Yes the initial call for fire can be done from a map coordinate but that just gets the rounds in the general vicinity. The FO (forward observer ie … radio guy ) has to observe where the rounds are falling and then directs the incoming arty spotting rounds to the exact location before giving an FFE (Fire For Effect order )
Sometimes they do, sometimes they just bomb again and again.
They hinted that at least if you get to ground you won’t be killed that easily soon. That’ s already a big improvement, I have no issue going prone when a plane crosses the sky.
I hope they do add this but currently doesn’t seem to help … also being in a building seems to give some protection but not as much as it should …
suicide bombing can be fixed if you loose x2 points you earned since you are in plane, if your plane is not absolutely destroyed by an enemy.
I mean, you get your plane and start bombing, you get 200 points, you get bored and suicide. then you loose 400 points.
if a plane or something, destroy you, won’t loose points. If a plane just hit you 2 times but it doesn’t destroy your plane (or make it not possible to fly) it count as suicide. your plane must be destroyed by an enemy
Not the best solution IMO. What if i decide that the plane is not needed anymore - for example it is time to assault a point inside a building. And there is nobody to shoot me down. Am i doomed to fly till the end of the match? xD
then they could add an airfield outside the map and you should land your plane, or a button “change squad” with a 30-60 sec timer to prevent people change squad after a single bombing run
woah
Once again you are showing your massive ignorance and take it from someone who has done it RL. Maps even today are very inaccurate … Back in WW2 they were more so. Maps are flat and the earth is round that’s were the difference comes in. And earth coordinates have to be converted to map coordinates which can sometimes be off as much as 100m even if you get it right.
Then you have the Arty FDC (fire direction center ) He receives the call from the spotter and has convert the spotters map coordinates into something his guns can lay to. All this happens even before the first spotting round is fired.
Once that first spotting round is fired the spotter … … I know it’s hard for you but try to focus … THE SPOTTER … Must spot the round and if he cant then the process must start over again.
If he does SPOT the round then he adjusts the fire to exactly wher he wants it to go. He looks through his binos and tells the FDC left or right a certain amount or up or down a certain amount. Very rarley is the first spotting round directly on target.
Following the spotters corrections The FDC makes the changes to his guns and then another spotting around is fired and more adjustments are made until the SPOTTER is satisfied that they are on target.
That’s how it’s done so stop showing you ignorance…
thanks for explaining everything i just fucking said but more complicated then it needs to be… i already am aware of that whole process
like honestly you really think a system like that would work in this game… once you drop the spotting round everyone would scatter and you wouldn’t hit dick all, like sure your method works when your shelling stationary targets like bunkers or foxholes but we don’t got foxholes and the bunkers are immune to shells so yea…
This is not my system … that is how it’s done in RL. And I’m not suggesting that whole process be added to the game. But I am saying that the radio guy (spotter) should have to SPOT the rounds. That means he has to be close enough to see them land and not hiding in a bunker somewhere back at the spawn point.
The end result is that he cant just sit and spam arty … Yes the recent change has reduced spam but it was a lazy change that could have been implemented in a smarter and more realistic way …
“what do you mean I have to wait my turn to click on the map and get a free 15 kills now?”
