You do understand you ridiculous it is in one game to have layers that getting 200+ kills with the stupid bombs which are killing only enemies and not friendly too? DO YOU?
planes are limited while artyilerry squad can be equipped by anyone at same time. i’m glad they get rid of concussion simulator.

simply if devs give a lot of points for destroy planes, a lot of players will be ready to destroy bombers. Now players don’t want to use their fighter to down bombers because is a waste of time. Is better to use their bomber and kill a lot of ground forces.
If they give players a lot of points for down a plane, instead 4 bombers, they will have 4 fighters or 1 bomber and 3 fighters fighting between them instead killing infantry.
We had this conversation several times I guess, but it’s correct to raise the issue again to get over the threshold of developers. From my point of view it feels all right to get killed by a bomb and planes add a lot to the war feeling when they are not dominating a map and not crashing into buildings all around.
Options to go on without nerfing bombs themselves include:
- Let us have engineers in any squad build AA turrets temporarily.
- Increase AA turret turning speed (traversal rate in English perhaps?) when we aim the sky (to prevent creating an ultimate anti-infantry weapon, but make it better against planes)
- Add teamkill to bombs as well - but pilots would be annoyed by this just as well as bombed infantry. It was just proven so in LF mode.
- Limit the number of bomb runs per plane + plane spawns (pilot not losing a spawn if he returns the “depleted” plane). Or limit the reload rate by putting refill zone further away
- As written above, increase XP benefits of killing a plane
- maybe on top of the extra XP, make a bonus proportional to the kills given plane inflicted: 60 kills => 30 kill-equivalent “retribution bonus” split between those causing damage to the plane (not counting its own bombs)
- Add pre-built AA turrets to the map, built so that they can’t target infantry

I think they will nerf planes… otherwise there would not be any point to nerf artillery and mortar

they never needed to nerf artillery… they just needed to give it an ammo capacity that is shared by the entire team and slowly refills over time…
Or make radio operator use smoke or binoculars to select the zone for the arty. This way you will have radio operator on the front line and you can kill them.
the arty mains coping so hard
If a bomb can have a one hit kill radius of 50+ meters, it can neutralize a capture point, as well as half the enemy team around it, while the team dmg is not significant enough to make it balanced.
All that while the said plane can only be attacked from other planes.
So yes, planes are OP atm.
As much as I like the idea and understand the necessity of nerfing (or somehow reworking) the planes, I’m kinda tired of people saying you can only counter planes with planes.
People have shot me out of the cockpit with a 50 cal. (always the same guy for some reason ) A well-placed and manned AA gun can be a problem. Hell, I was once shot down by a tank!
I do aggree, though, that the planes are slowly becoming the new arty (before the arty was nerfed, I mean).
I have found something in plane controls that gives me hope - there’s key bindings for things like radiator opening/closing, fuel mixture control., etc.
So that tells me that planes are going to be a lot harder to fly sometime in the future, there’s going to be a learning curve and 90% of today’s pilots are not going to bother.
…way too unrealistic… radio operators called out grid locations on a map they carried… LoS calling is stupid… they just need a fucking ammo capacity… start each team out with 250 shells and make them refill at a rate of 8 every 30 seconds… its the most realistic solution… if a team does spam artillery they won’t have shells when they really need them… people will stop spamming artillery when they realize artillery shells are an actual commodity…
1 radio squad would be able to spam strike after strike without fear of running out of shells but if you got 3 or 4 radio squads calling strikes your teams shell reserve is gonna run dry pretty fucking fast
Nope. I like the idea in general, but it’s kinda like commu… e-e-eh… [insert any philosophical/economical system here] - it looks great until real life kicks in.
Here is what’s going to happen: you will have one f-ing idiot on your team that just spams arty. No matter how much you ask him to stop, he won’t. You explain again and again, that you may need these shells later, but he just goes: “Look at muh kills. I carry. You can’t play. Git gud”.
This idea (again, really nice in principle, although the numbers could be adjusted) is only going to work if you have some sort of way of preventing this.
arty is good now, it still gets spammed, there is always 1 circle on the map, it is effective.

No, they will not. Those controls are WT leftovers, i believe. Complex controls for one game system (planes) in otherwise completely arcade shooter makes 0 sense and will discourage general audience. Also, this doesn’t fix suicide bombing in any way - you can suicide bomb even with engine turned off, due to the plane spawn being laughably close to the battlefield.
Mayby cause there is NOT AT ALL team damage on bombs unless pilot crashes before bombs explode

don’t get me wrong i understand that potential situation but the only other solution anyone’s come up with is basically “NERF ARTILLERY” where as my idea would keep it strong but only make it strong in short bursts
like nothing about my idea prevents you from laying down hellfire on an enemy position constantly but if your going to rain shells like that then you should run dry on available shells…
that’s how naval artillery worked here’s a little video clip that shows you how they prepped available shells
it was done by hand… if your shelling exceeded the speed your crew could get the shells prepped then you couldn’t deliver a full shelling… and they could only keep a specific number of shells on the deck within loading distance of the guns…
