Devs somethimes do suprising things

I wasnt waiting a new map at all for any campaign but they announced for pacific. The suprising thing is; i thought they would go for iwo jima, okinawa or other popular battles but nope. They chose relatively unknown battle.
New georgia campaign was part of operation carthweel ( another overlooked part of pacific war) to surround japanese main base rabaul at the south west pacific front.
So We still have hope to see burma, new guinea or other forgotten battlefields for future

I hope we continue to get more and more maps over time, both the famous and lesser known

And?

It’s not that this is the last map… Just because it isn’t a mainstream ww2 scenario it still deserves the spotlight. And, it’s a beauty.

I want Peleliu.

that would be awesome, more specifically - paris.

And it’s very good that they chose such a theater of action, and not a clichéd topic.

D-Day, Moskva, Stalingrad or Tunisia are simply theaters of action most often chosen by various authors of games and films because more people have heard of them.

But the Second World War lasted 6 years and there were plenty of bigger battles, but less known, for example, only for the fact that the victory of one of the sides was not spectacular or dramatic in its consequences.

BLaaaaah
i want some country side open fields with few house and lots of wheat fields, hedge rows and ditchs/dikes

Okay okay, hear me, what about Market garden, we all.know the bridge objective is the best objective of the best map on Berlin, so imagine a campaign, composed of just maps with bridges…

Good idea don’t think?

wouldn’t mind a bit of normandy like

And let’s not forget that you still need to know the difference between an operation and a battle. And battle for battle. Because one battle could last 23 hours and another 20 days.

Or the Battle of Kursk. About which there are legends that there was a clash of tanks only, and there was simply the greatest saturation of tanks in a given area because the operation on the Kursk arch is a series of battles.

I for one appreciate exploring the more lesser known or obscure battles. All the mainstream ones have been done to death. Sure I still like them, but there is so much more to see
