if they seriously do that more than half of the player base is gonna drop the game.

Yeah but IMHO it’s the sole solution to rebalance the campaign levels. There is logic that they put useless bikes and AA trucks on level 120+. The logic of this should be that you should be encouraged to grind. But at least in Moscow most people already have the good stuff and I dont think anyone would switch their Panzer IV or T-50 for a bike or a halftracked vehicle that have no real role.
maybe if they split the campaign grind into veichles/guns/equipment lowering the xp neede for each level, they could reorganize the mess they created.

Too much work for them. DF is lazy AF. They usually prefer to have the easiest and fastest solution.

And idk as long as they refund the experience we gained with gold or boosters (and ofc refunding the gold and the tickets and the drops etc.) I wouldnt mind,
i dont want to spend another 150/200 hours to re farm everything in the same maps same weapons same tanks same everything, im gonna simply change game and play with my firends.
enlisted it’s too repetitive to do this

I think maybe you are thinking a little too pessimistically, it is true that we have to ignite the current progression system and throw it into the then putrid and fetid sewer that exists, but even if in the future the progression system will turn into a similar of war thunder, it is not said that there will be a wipe, simply our progress will be converted into the new progression system.

let’s put it like this! with that of war thunder we should not waste time grinding levels to unlock things we do not use but, I can research all the modifications of the kar98k and when I am finished using it and have fun I do the same with the gewer43 / mp40 / stg,
with the current one: do you want mp35? nope you have to grind yourself 21 levels of stuff you don’t want and you don’t use hahahhahhahahaah, you got it wanna upgrade it? nope you have to grind the squad hahahaahhaahahhaha

Not that I not only dislike WTs system, we have two different games here.
We not only have guns bit also have soldier classes and sqauds. Also we do not necessary unlock a new gun and a sqaud and a new soldier type at the same time.
Would be too messfull.
When the CBT wipe happened originally the twitch drop stuff was saved and given back to those who had them. Also I think if the progression was changed it still wouldn’t result in a wipe. War Thunder managed to swap 2 different progression systems without losing progress. Sure it was years ago and it was nice to unlock a whole tier of planes back then instead of grinding weeks for 1 vehicle, but that’s a different topic.
If I remember correctly the drops were bugged AH and not everyone recieved them back.
