Now that paratroopers have been hit with nerfs, I think it will be neat to have those premium paratroops in BR2. In the same way the soviets have a premium and event version of paratroopers.
Not only that, it will be more historically accurate if you care about that instead of having italian paratroopers in stalingrad and normandy
I dont know if they read these types of suggestions, but it was an idea I thought was worth sharing.
I’d rather see tech tree paras introduced with this mechanic, and Russian premium paras actually given premium weapons.

Current Germany side paras in my opinion should stay as they are.
Since their guns are not available to be purchased/used on other squads.

I agree with you, i think its crazy russian airborne gets that feauture but the rest if the nations didnt. I chalk it up to new ideas they came up with at the time. I would love to give them FG42’s or STGs instead.
As for the soviets no nerf to their weapon systems is needed. They are perfect the way they are. Soviet Airborne is an excellent counter to Tigers and Panthers.
We could make them free though.
Especially because that would mean normal M1A1 Carbine.

M1A1 needs to get its stats fixed first, x2 more recoil for wire stock is crazy.

Event paras are no longer available, who knows when there will be a re-runs for them.
Premium paras should get switchable main guns.
Soviets should keep their current selection of BA, semi and SF rifles, SMGs and ARs.
Germans should get a selection of BA, semi and SF rifles.
USA should get SMGs and ARs (M2 carbine should be made like VG1-5, available to all who can use semis or SMGs).
Japan could get MG selection, providing Type 99 get proper stats and put to 4 BR.
Don’t complain we have paratrooper for axis for br 2 so we don’t need more paratrooper for low br.

To the original post I’m going to say no, much simpler and broader fix would be to allow every paratrooper from all factions to have interchangeable weapons and be tier 1-5. But that’s just my personal opinion. That would allow for paratroopers to be used more often, that would also go alongside giving Japan another paratrooper squad because currently the only paratroopers they have are from an event.
Imagine have a Achievement inGame, kill 250 with Paratroopers, and the only Paras are past Event or Premium… pfff
