This isn’t exactly a game-changing mechanic or something that players can play, but it would equally benefit future content and direction.
I feel it has been too long, as does many of the community since we have gotten direct communication from the developers themselves on the state of Enlisted. This would be the perfect time for responding to things like:
- what a stat means/what affects what stat
- asking about a specific mechanic or feature on the “roadmap” and potentially it’s progress stage
- follow up on long confirmed yet absent features
- the content flow and the reason the devs decide to do something a certain way
Etc.
This would also help the players and understanding a little more about the circumstance the studio is dealing with, as well as the apparent talks of dark flow, having some of their developers moved to other projects and who is leading the push that’s left. This would be a prime opportunity for interaction with the player base and aid in improving the overall state of the community, as well as the ability to explain these circumstances on why enlisted is being developed the way it is and possibly ease some players upset/frustrated viewpoint as a result of the depended understanding.
There would only be a limited number of questions that can be asked, and at any point in time they can end the Q&A if it got out of hand. The format would be quick but well thought out, and answer some of the most requested things in more than just a short blog post.
Questions would be short and to the point, actually have some relevancy to the game and the current issues or requests, and not be based on “what’s next updates equipment/where is the next map?”.
Should there be a new Q&A directly with the developers in this format?
- Yes
- Yes, but with other things (comment below)
- No
I will be collecting questions below so that I may also better understand how I can do my part within Enlisted. As a Veteran it’s hard to always know how the overall community feels and the pain points, but this is that opportunity.
