I just love how people who have 12 kills, less than a 1000 battle points in a 30 minute match, arguably contribute nothing to the game have the audacity to leave the game before the defeat screen, so they wouldn’t be counted as a loss for them. LOL
Easy way to cut down on that is to end the ranking system and the win loss percentage. Keep track of kills and all the other stats. On top of that, end all awards, points, silver, tech tree research points ect. for deserting. So, at that point you’ve taken away their main reason for deserting at the end of the game, and taken away any rewards they might gain for deserting late. So, whether they desert in the first 30 seconds or the games last 30 seconds, they recieve nothing if they desert.
The desertion penalty is much too light and may have an omission.
Deserting gives a -20% penalty for the next two battles.
But if the deserter then also deserts the next battle, there is no penalty for that.
The penalty doesnt stack.
So desert one battle, get two desertions for free.
I joined 15 games. I deserted 11 (18 games, 3 were conquest mode, that I leave at the same time).
Okay, weekend. But during the week it’s not that different.
It’s almost impossible to find a good game.
So the tip is to join and leave until you find a good one.
I don’t care about winning or losing. I just look for a good balanced game.
as someone who always play till the end, and only desertes before the match starts if I don’t like the gamemode, I can say, mid match deserters are worse but, can people really blame them? I mean we all know how the matches are and there is literally no reward for staying and suffering for people if they don’t play “join any” and even then, winner gets more. and we all know that people need to get more rewards for grinds, especially the f2p…
I get a really good laugh at how “veterans” consider themselves heroes in such a crappy game like this xD I enjoy it when I can totally ruin your game by trolling on the field xD
I’ll tell you why I desert. And I won’t stop deserting, as long as the matchmaking works the way it does.
Sometimes when you’re not the greatest player; you notice that you’re top of the leaderboard on your team and the other team has players, with 60 - 1 kill counts. It’s absolutely no different than ending up and teams in any other WW2 game and being ridiculously, unplayable and overwhelmed. And I am as skeptical to the matchmaking crap, as I am to their anti-cheat software. Because over and over, this feels like cheaters in Battlefield, Battlefront, Call of Duty, or ANY FPS in the last 20 years. Snap AIMing, pre-shooting through buildings, even hitting me through stone walls with AT guns; knowing that NO one saw me run into this building.
I’m leveling Tier 1 and 2… WHY are there people on there with a 60 - 1 kill rate? Seems to me, if you’re kill to death ratio is like that, then YOU are playing in the wrong matches.
I will stop deserting matches, when the matches stop stacking the teams.
I saw a website shared on Reddit where you can check the scores of all players, and it looks like there’s a player who has participated in 122 matches and deserted all 122 times. I have no idea what their goal is.
Havent checked my win rate recently - but since I leave like 90% of my losses, I guess my winrate is ludicrously high.
That being said, I dont care about winrates at all.
Statistics dont matter - victory does, and when my team refuses to contribute, I leave always in the first 5 minutes, because there are other players who actually appreciate my help.
If “desertation” would count as a loss in the future (as it obviously should), I would still however not change my behaviour.
Don’t you think console players tend to drop out a lot…? Or is it just me? If you look at the screenshot above, you can see that a lot of players with controller icons have left the game. I don’t think this is just a one-off; it’s pretty much the norm.
