I will agree, knowing the Japanese air spawn is at the carrier, i would recommend most of the Japanese fighters to have air spawn in case things get to complicated when trying to get most of the Allied fighters to carrier spawns (since not all of them are Navy fighter planes)
it’s not though, japs gets air spawn for some of their fighters too the issue is that the US has more land based aircraft than carrier based

Either delay spawn for all fighters/bombers. Or even better, re-code it. Make air-spawned planes delayed and let planes from carriers take off immediately.
They should just move the Air Spawn further away from the battlefield. So the initial flight to the battle zone would take longer.
It would solve everything + it would also act as a prevention against suicide bombing. Because the flight to the resupply point would take much less time than cycling new planes over and over again.

I want airfields in all maps, that would have the same function as the carriers: repairs, and a “safe zone” with flak gunning down those revenge spawning and tailing your 6 when going for a resupply.

I like it so much better starting from the carrier, having the safe zone (AA), AND most importantly a place to repair. Airfields to operate exactly the same
Also makes it a bit more punishing to get shot down or crash. got to rebuild your energy instead of just respawning and diving to drop a load. ( i like that personally)
Also, for “land” planes, no planes would start in the air anymore.
It would greatly lower the amount of those abusing quick suicide bombing. Pilots up here would be more serious… man that’d be great!
Could remove the timer at match start for planes, since they’d have to take time taking off anyway.

I can see the airfield option being good, and I’ve long been a proponent of simply moving the air spawn further away from the battlefield to create a de-facto delay together with several additional benefits.
Simply delaying the air spawn, like on non-pacific maps, is an inferior option. The plane slots should always be allotted at the start of a match so prospective pilots don’t have to make sure their squad dies around the 1-minute mark in order to be on time for the plane spawn.
Additionally, delaying the air spawn by means of a timer has no effect on subsequent plane spawns - and therefore on the effectiveness of plane cycling. In contrast, moving the air spawn further back shifts the balance so refilling your plane at the resupply point is more efficient than crashing your plane and spawning a new one. Efficiency is currently one of the major reasons why players choose not to fly back to the resupply point - spawning a new plane is just faster. So while we’re trying to fix the problems that come with the current pacific air spawns, we might as well solve an additional problem at the same time.

Airfields sound like a great idea for the numerous reasons above!
Spawn straight away rather than having to lose your first squad. Deter suicide bombers. Ability to repair. Stop spawn campers with AA like the Pacific carriers. And it evens out for the Pacific planes that have to start on carriers.
Plus it’s not just an arbitrary timer delay - its a functional mechanic to solve the problem!
